Taco bar hire for Windsor events
Taco bar hire for your event in Windsor
Toppings make the bar: pickled onions, coriander, lime, shredded lettuce and cheese. On the menu are warm corn and flour tortillas, burrito bowls and guacamole, and it’s a good fit for family celebrations and office lunches.
In a town like Windsor, a taco bar can go in a hall, a marquee or a garden. It can stand next to the truck, or on its own where the truck cannot reach. We still need to park and unload nearby. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

The process
When service finishes, we pack up and leave our area tidy. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. Winter evenings in Windsor close in by about 3:55pm, so set the station up where the lighting is good. In late June, the light holds until around 9:25pm.
- Tell us about your event and your guests.
- We send a sample spread and a quote.
- Access, power and water are agreed beforehand.
- We arrive, unload and lay out warm tortillas, fillings and toppings.
- At the end, we take everything away.
Preparing for the day
- Let us know the timings for the day
- Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
- Confirm the venue allows outside caterers

Is taco bar hire right for your event?
A sandwich platter is easy to order but rarely remembered. A hot taco bar gives guests something to gather round. The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

Should I do it myself?
A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.
Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.
Windsor questions
Is it possible to have you in Sutherland Grange?
It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.
How far is Windsor from London?
Roughly 23 miles from the centre of London.
How spicy is the food?
It is up to you: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side.
What do you need at the venue?
A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, plus the venue’s permission. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.
Do you need electricity?
It depends on the event and the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Let us know whether there is a supply near where we’ll park.
How long do you serve for?
We arrive in good time to set up before service. The length of service is agreed when you book.
When should we book?
As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it is short notice, it’s worth asking.
How does taco bar hire work?
Guests take a plate and fill their tortillas from the dishes on the bar. We run the bar from set-up to pack-down.

Hot fillings
A few fillings give guests plenty of choice, with at least one vegan. You choose them with us.
Vegan fillings
Black bean and sweet potato, or spiced mushrooms.
Working with your venue
If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.
Hosting a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about access, and we will tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.
Catering for every guest
With a little notice, most diets are easy. We suggest:
- Ask guests about diets and allergies on the RSVP
- Give us separate numbers for children
- Put allergies in writing for us
- Fit the bar into your running order
If speeches or timings run over, we keep the fillings hot and start when you’re ready.
Our drinks bar can sit alongside the taco bar with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you.
Where the truck can go in Windsor
If a space isn’t suitable, we will tell you, and help find another spot. The main points are:

- A level area for the taco-bar table
- Room nearby to park and unload our vehicle
