About our wedding Mexican catering in The Pound

A taco bar at a wedding feels relaxed and generous. Guests build their own plates from warm tortillas, fillings, salsas and toppings, and the queue turns into part of the fun. At food for evening guests and receptions after a small ceremony, we can serve burrito bowls, quesadillas and evening tacos for your guests.

Near The Pound, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. That’s where a food truck comes into its own: no venue kitchen needed, just level, firm ground and a way in. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. We prepare everything fresh for your wedding and serve it straight from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

The Pound questions

What’s the nearest station to The Pound for guests?

Guests can use Battle station, about 4.5 miles east of The Pound.

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Ashburnham Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

Can you cater the whole day?

Yes: one part of the day, or both main meals, from the wedding breakfast to evening food. Share your plans and we will suggest a menu.

Do you do a taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Let us know your numbers and space and we’ll recommend how to serve.

What’s on the menu?

Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.

Can we add margaritas?

Yes, our Mexican drinks bar serves margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas. We will talk licensing through with you and your venue.

What if the photos overrun?

We adapt. We stay in touch with your coordinator and move the serving time if needed.

Do you cater for suppliers?

Just add them to your numbers. Let us know when they need feeding.

How it works

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. A picture of the space helps. Late-September weddings in The Pound see the sun go down at about 7:00pm, so an evening taco service may start as the light fades. In late May it stays light until about 8:50pm.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan the wedding breakfast, evening food or both with you.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue.
  5. We clear our area once service ends.

Before we arrive

  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Give us a contact for the day

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Parking and the route in
  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • How many guests we are serving

Larger events can cost less per head, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Your menu ideas
  • The date and time of the event

  • Check your date with us early
  • Plan a covered area for eating in case of rain

Evening food is served at the agreed time, often after the first dance.
