Food truck hire near Alfold Bars

Planning food truck hire around Alfold Bars

Alfold Bars is about 9 miles west of Horsham, in West Sussex. We cater events at homes, gardens and venues in Alfold Bars. Alfold Bars is one of 371 towns and villages in West Sussex where we can bring food truck hire. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Alfold Bars to Guildford (11 miles away).

Parks such as Fir Tree Copse usually need permission for vehicles and catering, so a garden or hired venue is often simpler. After a service at a church such as Church of St Nicholas, a hired food truck at a garden, field or venue nearby can feed everyone.

We serve at events all over the RH14 postcode area. Local streets include Pigbush Lane and Oakhurst Lane; for an event at home on any of them, tell us where the truck or trailer can park. Close by, we cover events in Alfold (1 mile north), Loxwood (1 mile south), Ifold (2 miles south-west), Plaistow (2 miles south-west) and Durfold Wood (3 miles west). How our food truck hire works in Alfold Bars

Pair the truck with our Mexican drinks bar for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you. A build-your-own taco bar can sit beside the truck too. It works well for launch events and private parties in fields and grounds, serving vegan tacos, fresh salsas and guacamole and burritos.

In a hamlet or village like Alfold Bars, our truck or trailer can serve a private party or a team day in a field or garden. Guests queue at the hatch, so have some cover ready in case of rain. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

Common questions in Alfold Bars

How far is Alfold Bars from central London?

About 34 miles from central London.

Do you come out to small places like Alfold Bars?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Can you cater for guests who avoid dairy?

Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus, and we will tell you which dishes contain milk.

Do you cook on site?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms, served alongside the meat options.

What do you serve?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings could include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.

Can we add drinks?

You can add our drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas. Licensing is checked with you.

How soon do we need to book?

As soon as you have a date. Popular dates go first, so contact us early.

What food truck hire costs

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • The number of people
  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Your choice of food and drinks

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

What we need to know

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Expected numbers
  • The date and time of the event
  • Your menu ideas

Every quote is put together for your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll check availability at the same time.

Should I do it myself?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

For event organisers in Alfold Bars

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can check the date.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Ask guests with severe allergies to speak to us beforehand
  • Ask about parking rules if we’ll be on a road
  • Agree service times with us
  • Let us know who is coeliac

If your timings move, let us know and we will adjust service.

Ask us about napkins, plates and cutlery and we will confirm what’s possible.

What’s on the menu

Salsas and guacamole

Fresh salsas and guacamole, made for your event.

Burrito bowls

Everything from a burrito, served in a bowl.

Before you choose a spot

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

  • A spot away from neighbours
  • Power and water, confirmed with each booking
  • A parking suspension, where a street spot is needed

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

Popular choices

  • Burrito bowls
  • Loaded nachos
  • Quesadillas
  • Tacos
  • Burritos

What happens on the day

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your event. A hired food truck at a summer event in Alfold Bars can serve in daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer, while late September brings sunset forward to around 7:05pm. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so the queue by the hatch needs lighting.

  1. Send us your date, the address, a headcount and dietary needs.
  2. We suggest a menu for the hatch and quote for it.
  3. We confirm the parking spot, access, power and water with you or the venue.
  4. On the day we drive in, set up and serve to order from the hatch.
  5. After service, we close the hatch, pack down and drive away.

Getting ready for the day

  • Tell us what power and water the site has
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park

Getting a price

Not sure what you need yet? That is fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we’ll make suggestions. When you are ready, send a quick message through our quote form.
