Food truck hire in Horsham, from our food truck or trailer

A hired food truck works for weddings, birthdays and staff days, and any gathering where guests want hot food without a sit-down meal. At garden parties and weddings, we’ll put together a menu of tacos from the hatch, burritos and vegan tacos and more.

In central Horsham, access and parking are the things to plan for a hired food truck; on site we need level ground and space for guests to queue. Timings are planned around your event, so service starts when you want it.

Before you choose a spot

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but there are a few things to check:

  • Power and water, confirmed with each booking
  • A parking suspension, where a street spot is needed
  • A clear area for a queue at the hatch

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

Catering for every guest

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because guests can choose what suits them. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Confirm allergies with us in writing
  • Check early that your venue allows food trucks
  • Check parking and loading rules for street locations
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to speak to us beforehand

We arrive in the agreed window and park where we have arranged. Someone on site to meet us makes it smoother.

A taco-bar station can sit next to the truck.

How we price food truck hire

We quote for your event, and the price is based on:

  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Travel, parking and access
  • The number of people
  • The length of service

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

Details that help

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:

  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Your menu ideas

We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

How the day works

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can enjoy your event. A hired food truck at a summer event in Horsham can serve in daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer, while late September brings sunset forward to around 7:05pm. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so the queue by the hatch needs lighting.

  1. Check our availability for your date.
  2. We agree a hatch menu and send a quote.
  3. We confirm the parking spot and the route in.
  4. We drive in, open the hatch and serve your guests.
  5. After service, we close up and leave the spot clear.

Preparing for the day

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches

How to get a price

It is easy to get a price: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We’ll come back with a clear quote.

Horsham: your questions answered

What’s the nearest station to Horsham for guests?

Guests can use Horsham station, which is right in Horsham.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Hope Chapel?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Tell us where the reception will be.

Can you cater for special diets?

We plan vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests. Every dish has allergen information.

Who clears up?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes, on request. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we’ll plan the menu around them.

What space does the truck need?

A firm, level spot, a way in that fits the vehicle, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water when you book.

What does hiring your food truck involve?

You book the truck or trailer for set hours at your event. We cook, serve and clear away.

For planners, venues and organisers

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.
