Burlington Estate questions

Can we hire your food truck for an event at home in Burlington Estate?

That depends on the space. A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work, as long as the truck or trailer can reach a level spot. Tell us what’s outside, and remember the ULEZ covers all of Greater London.

Which station is closest to Burlington Estate?

Bond Street station, in Burlington Estate itself.

What happens if it rains?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Do you do food truck hire for weddings?

A food truck suits a relaxed wedding well, especially in the evening. We agree access and timings with the venue.

Can you keep it mild?

That is your choice: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear our own area when service is finished. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

Do you need electricity?

Tell us what the site has, such as a supply from the venue near where we will park, and we’ll confirm the arrangements with your quote.

What areas do you cover?

London and South East England: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire, including Burlington Estate.

Catering for every guest

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Ask guests about dietary needs when they reply
  • Email us any allergies
  • Walk the access route and note narrow gaps
  • Ask about parking rules if we will be on a road

The hatch opens at the time you choose, and we cook each order as it comes.

Simple quesadillas suit younger guests.

Organising for someone else?

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Burlington Estate? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Tell us about the event and we’ll suggest a menu.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Comparing your options

A marquee kitchen with plated service needs more space, more staff and more time. Our food truck or trailer brings the kitchen and serves from one hatch. Larger events can cost less per head, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

Why us?

  • Allergen-aware menus
  • A clear quote
  • Book food, drinks or both
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Where the truck can go in Burlington Estate

Before the day, we’ll agree where we park and serve. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • A way in wide and high enough for the vehicle
  • Room for guests to gather at the hatch
  • Some space between the truck and nearby homes

In Burlington Estate, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.

Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

How the day works

When service finishes, we pack up and leave our area tidy. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. At midsummer, it stays light in Burlington Estate until about 9:20pm, while late September brings sunset forward to around 7:05pm. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so the queue by the hatch needs lighting.

  1. Send us your date, the address, a headcount and dietary needs.
  2. You get a hatch menu and a quote for the hire.
  3. Where the truck or trailer will stand, the route in, and power and water are all agreed in advance.
  4. On the day we drive in, set up and serve to order from the hatch.
  5. When service ends, we pack up and leave the spot clear.

Before we arrive

  • Find out what power and water are available
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Give us a contact for the day
