Food truck hire in East End

Food truck hire for your event in East End

Everyone orders at the hatch and gets food cooked to order. It keeps things easy and relaxed for guests and hosts. Popular choices include loaded nachos, tacos from the hatch and vegan tacos, which works well for engagement parties and client hospitality.

In a hamlet or village like East End, our food truck or trailer can serve a private party or a team day in a field or garden. Guests queue at the hatch, so have some cover ready in case of rain. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our truck or trailer.

Organising for someone else?

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

Diets, allergies and planning

With a little notice, most diets are easy. Our advice:

  • Look into parking permissions if the truck can’t go off-road
  • Confirm the venue accepts outside caterers and vehicles
  • Let us know who is coeliac
  • Measure gates and look for low branches on the way in

Allergen information is available at the hatch for every dish, so guests can ask before ordering.

Simple quesadillas suit younger guests, if you’d like a kids’ choice.

Planning food truck hire around East End

East End is about 3 miles north-east of Lymington, in Hampshire. From the centre of East End to the outskirts, food truck hire works the same way: a truck or trailer at your event, options for every diet and a clear price. East End is one of 683 places in Hampshire where we can bring food truck hire. We cater right across the region, from East End to Southampton (11 miles away).

For guests coming by train, Lymington Pier station is about 2.3 miles away. Around East End, historic houses include Beaulieu Palace House (3.5 miles north-east). Listed venues often control where vehicles go, so raise food truck hire at your first visit. East End is within about 4 miles of the New Forest National Park, with country venues and gardens where a hired food truck could serve. Some venues in protected landscapes have rules on vehicles, so check with yours. With the sea within about 4 miles, a hired food truck at a seaside venue is an option. The truck or trailer needs firm ground rather than sand or shingle, and seafront spots normally need permission.

Here we cover the SO41 postcode area. Streets in the area include Rowes Lane, Norleywood Road and Lymington Road, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. Other places close to East End for food truck hire include Norleywood (1 mile north-west), Thorns Beach (2 miles east), Hamstead (4 miles south-east), Cranmore (5 miles south) and Bouldnor (5 miles south). We also cater in nearby towns such as Gosport (15 miles east), Eastleigh (15 miles north-east), Fareham (14 miles north-east), Totton (10 miles north), Chandler's Ford (15 miles north) and Hedge End (13 miles north-east).

A little further out are Yarmouth Castle (4.7 miles south) and Lymington New Forest Hospital (2.7 miles west). Not far away are Boldre Foreshore.

Should I do it myself?

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

What’s on the menu

Burritos

A burrito is a full meal in the hand and travel well from the hatch.

Tacos from the hatch

A taco is ideal food from a truck, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests.

What affects the price in East End

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • Timings and hours
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Guest numbers

Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

Details that help

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • The address or venue name
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. Contact us for a quote: just fill in our quote form.

What we need at the venue

We will agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Power and water details confirmed in advance
  • Enough width and height on the route in
  • A spot away from neighbours

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

What we offer

  • Mexican drinks bar
  • Burrito bowls
  • Quesadillas
  • Tacos
  • Loaded nachos

How the day works

Guests tend to gather around the truck, so we will help you choose a spot with room for a queue. We can serve in the rain, but guests will need somewhere covered. December events in East End lose the light at about 4:00pm, so ask the venue about outdoor lighting where we’ll park. In late June, it stays light until about 9:25pm.

  1. Check our availability for your date.
  2. We agree a hatch menu and send a quote.
  3. We confirm the parking spot and the route in.
  4. On the day, guests order at the hatch and we cook to order.
  5. After service, we close up and leave the spot clear.

How to prepare

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Tell us what power and water the site has
  • Share the running order, including any speeches

Common questions in East End

Can we hire your food truck for a private party in East End?

Yes, subject to the date and access for the truck or trailer. Tell us about the lane, gates, ground and parking.

What’s the nearest station to East End for guests?

Guests can use Lymington Pier station, about 2.3 miles south-west of East End.

How much is a food truck for an event?

It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the length of service and the location. Send us the details for a quote.

Can we add drinks?

The drinks bar comes with bar staff. We’ll talk through licensing first.

How is private hire different from festival trading?

A private hire is booked and quoted for you, and we do not sell to the public. Event organisers should see street food for festivals.

What food and drinks do you offer?

Mexican street food and drinks: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar.

How far ahead should we book?

As soon as you have a date. Peak dates go quickly, so it pays to ask early.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.
