Food truck hire for Pinner events

Planning the serving area

If a space is not suitable, we will tell you. What matters most:

  • A parking suspension, where a street spot is needed
  • Space in front of the hatch for guests to queue
  • Level, solid ground for the vehicle

As a London location, Pinner is inside the ULEZ, and parking and loading take planning: tell us about parking bays, permits, a driveway or whether a parking suspension is needed.

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.

Food truck hire or something else?

Plated catering needs a kitchen tent, waiting staff and set courses. Our food truck or trailer brings the kitchen and serves from one hatch, needing level ground, access and the venue’s permission. Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you can choose what you need.

Why us?

  • A clear quote
  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
  • Book food, drinks or both

How it works

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can enjoy your event. At midsummer, it stays light in Pinner until about 9:25pm, while late September brings sunset forward to around 7:05pm. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue at the hatch.

  1. Check our availability for your date.
  2. You get a menu for the hatch and a quote.
  3. The spot and the way in are agreed in advance.
  4. On the day, guests order at the hatch and we cook to order.
  5. We pack down and drive away when service ends.

Working with your venue

Organising a club, school or community event in Pinner? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Give us the details and we will suggest a plan.

Catering for every guest

We cater for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests. To get it right:

  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Tell us about coeliac guests
  • Confirm the venue accepts outside caterers and vehicles
  • Check gate widths and any height limits

At the end of service, we close the hatch and pack down, leaving our spot tidy.

Ask about a second service later in the evening, quoted with the main booking.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

The menu, item by item

Quesadillas

Quesadillas are a simple choice for children.

Burritos

A burrito is a full meal in the hand and travel well from the hatch.

Questions from Pinner

Where would you park in Pinner?

London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. Some streets may need a parking suspension from the council, and all of Greater London is inside the ULEZ.

Is food truck hire possible at a house in Pinner?

A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work, depending on your street. Guests order at the hatch, so we also need room for a queue, and all of Greater London is inside the ULEZ.

When should we book?

The sooner the better. Popular dates go first, so get in touch early.

Can guests build their own tacos?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Let us know your numbers and space and we will recommend how to serve.

What about vegan and gluten-free guests?

Diets are planned with you in advance, though we can’t guarantee there are no traces of any allergen. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us first.

Do you sell to the public at private events?

At a private hire, we serve your guests and nobody else, with a menu and timings you agree with us. Festival and market trading is open to the public; see our street food catering page.

Can you come to a private house?

Yes, if the truck or trailer can get in and park on level, firm ground. Send us a photo of the access and the space.

Do you need electricity?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there is a supply near where we’ll park.
