About our food truck hire in Queen's Park

For a private or work event in Queen's Park, our food truck or trailer parks up and guests order at the hatch. Let us know about the access, any barriers and the width of the way in, and send a picture if you can. Hiring a food truck in Queen's Park

Queen's Park is about 2 miles south-west of Hampstead, in Greater London. Wherever your event is in the NW6 area, we can bring the truck or trailer to you, as long as there is access. We serve in all 764 towns and villages across Greater London.

If guests are travelling by rail, Queens Park (London) station is in Queen's Park itself. Parks such as Queen’s Park usually need permission for vehicles and catering, so a garden or hired venue is often simpler.

This part of Greater London takes in NW6, W9 and W10, so your event can be anywhere in it. Streets in the area include Kempe Road, Peach Road and Parry Road, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. We also serve at events in Kilburn (1 mile north), Kensal Rise (1 mile west), Kensal Town (1 mile south-west), Brondesbury (1 mile north) and Kensal Green (1 mile west). Larger places within reach include London (5 miles south-east), City of Westminster (3 miles south-east), Marylebone (3 miles south-east), St Pancras (4 miles east), Shoreditch (5 miles east) and Walthamstow (9 miles north-east).

Other landmarks nearby include Montfichet's Tower (4.6 miles east) and Brent Museum and Archives (1.4 miles north-west). Not far away are Greville Place nature reserve and Primrose Hill.

  • Nearby schools include Maida Vale School (within half a mile south-east) and St Augustine's Church of England High School (less than half a mile east)
  • Pubs nearby include The Brondesbury Arms (less than half a mile east)
  • Local facilities include Ladbroke Estate (1.5 miles south)

How we price food truck hire

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, because of:

  • Food, drinks or both
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • How long we are needed on site

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we will set out what’s included.

Getting an accurate quote

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Your menu ideas
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • What power and water the site has
  • How we drive in and where we can park

Most quotes start with a few simple details: date, location, guest numbers and diets. Contact us for a quote: just drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Perfect for your event in Queen's Park

Guests can come back to the hatch when they’re ready.

Whatever the occasion, the serving truck can be a highlight. We are happy to cater:

  • Parties in venue grounds
  • Weddings
  • Engagement parties
  • Company away days

No room on the drive? A hired hall or sports club near Queen's Park with parking may suit the truck or trailer.

Questions to ask before you book

  • What the caterer needs from your venue
  • What happens if it rains
  • Any travel, parking or access charges
  • Payment terms and deposit

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Where the truck can go in Queen's Park

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but a few things matter:

  • Space in front of the hatch for guests to queue
  • Level, solid ground for the vehicle
  • Seating or standing room near the truck

Queen's Park is in London, inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, which covers all of Greater London, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays, off-street space or a parking suspension.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before booking.

Food truck hire or something else?

Hiring a food truck is different from finding one at a festival. At a festival we trade to the public; when you hire us, we serve only your guests, on your timings. There is no one-size-fits-all price for food truck hire. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

What we offer in Queen's Park

  • Quoted for your event
  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
  • Fast service, even with a queue

FAQs for Queen's Park

Where would you park in Queen's Park?

London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. A parking suspension may be needed, and the whole of Greater London is inside the ULEZ.

Which station should guests use for Queen's Park?

Guests can use Queens Park (London) station, which is right in Queen's Park.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Of course. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

Can you do dairy-free food?

We can. Dairy-free options are part of our menus.

What if the weather’s bad?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Do you cook on site?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

Please ask us. Let us know what you already have, and we will confirm what’s included with your quote.

How big an event can you cater?

Our truck and trailer service normally suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Send us your numbers and we will advise.

Catering for every guest

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Check early that your venue allows food trucks
  • Check gate widths and any height limits
  • Put anyone with a severe allergy in touch with us
  • Send allergy details in writing

Wet weather does not close the hatch, but guests will want a covered area to eat.

Loaded nachos to share while the first orders cook.

What’s on the menu

Burritos

Rice, beans, a filling and salsa wrapped in a big tortilla.

Quesadillas

Crisp tortillas folded round melted cheese.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

The process

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. Send us a photo of the space if you’re unsure. Evening events in Queen's Park stay light until about 9:20pm at midsummer. Once it is dark, some lighting near the hatch makes ordering easier.

  1. Send us your date, the address, a headcount and dietary needs.
  2. You get a hatch menu and a quote for the hire.
  3. Where the truck or trailer will stand, the route in, and power and water are all agreed in advance.
  4. Your guests order at the hatch and we serve hot food at the agreed times.
  5. After service, we close the hatch, pack down and drive away.

Before we arrive

  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
  • Find out what power and water are available
