Food truck hire in Reigate

How our food truck hire works in Reigate

We cook inside our food truck or trailer, so your venue does not need a kitchen. We need a level spot, safe access and the venue’s permission. On the menu are tacos from the hatch, burritos and burrito bowls, and it suits summer parties at home and milestone birthdays.

Food truck hire in a town like Reigate can work at a home with a drive, a hall or club, or a hired venue. Any of them can work if the truck or trailer can get in and park on level ground. Every guest is catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included, with allergen information for everything we serve.

Step by step

On the day, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. We are ready to serve at the agreed time, so everything runs to your schedule. A hired food truck at a summer event in Reigate can serve in daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer, while late September brings sunset forward to around 7:05pm. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue at the hatch.

  1. Tell us what the event is and who’s coming.
  2. We suggest fillings and dishes for every diet.
  3. We check power, water and timings with the venue.
  4. Service runs at the times you choose.
  5. When everyone is fed, we clear our area.

How to prepare

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Give us a contact for the day

Organising for someone else?

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will talk you through the process. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Events in public spaces, like parks, generally need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

What affects the price in Reigate

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • How many staff you need
  • Whether you need disposables
  • Timings and hours
  • Distance and access to the venue

Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

What we need to know

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • The date and rough timings
  • The venue or postcode
  • What power and water the site has
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and you will get menu ideas and a price. To get started, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Questions from Reigate

How far is Reigate from London?

It is about 19 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Do you cater in the Surrey Hills National Landscape?

Yes, though some venues in protected landscapes have extra rules; ask your venue. Tell us about narrow lanes and soft ground.

How does food truck hire work?

We bring our food truck or trailer to your venue, park in the agreed spot and serve your guests from the hatch. It is a private booking for your guests only.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, like a marquee or gazebo.

Do you sell to the public at private events?

At a private hire, we serve your guests and nobody else, with a menu and timings you agree with us. Festival and market trading is open to the public; see our street food catering page.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but our truck and trailer service normally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Tell us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Do you cater in Reigate?

We do. Reigate is one of the places we cover. Send us your date to check availability.

What about power on site?

Let us know what’s available on site, for example a supply from the venue, and we will confirm what we need with your quote.

Should I do it myself?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Space, access and the venue

We’ll be honest if a space will not work. What matters most:

  • Arrangements for power and water, agreed when you book
  • A way in wide and high enough for the vehicle
  • A parking suspension, where a street spot is needed

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before booking.

On the menu in Reigate

  • Loaded nachos
  • Tacos
  • Burritos
  • Mexican drinks bar

Planning for every diet

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because options can be kept separate. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Tell us about coeliac guests
  • Check early that your venue allows food trucks
  • Have shelter ready in case of rain
  • Guests with serious allergies should contact us first

When service ends, we pack away and drive off quietly.

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can join the truck, with licensing checked with you.

Comparing your options

For food that becomes part of the event, a private food truck is a strong option. Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Why us?

  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar
  • A clear quote
  • A plan agreed before the day
  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
