Food truck hire near The Chart

The Chart questions

Is The Chart close to London?

About 18 miles from central London.

Can you cater a reception after a service at St Andrew's?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Tell us where the reception will be.

Who clears up?

We clear our own area when service is finished. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

Can we hire a bar too?

We bring bar staff with the drinks bar. Alcohol needs the right licence, which we’ll check with you.

What does food truck hire cost?

The price depends on numbers, menu, service time and where your event is. Send us the details for a quote.

Can guests build their own tacos?

We can. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

What do you need at the venue?

Send us the address and a description of the spot, and we will check the access. Our guide to space and power has more.

Do you cater for dietary needs?

We plan for diets before the day, though we cannot guarantee there are no traces of any allergen. Anyone with a severe allergy should contact us before the event.

Food truck hire for your event in The Chart

Our food truck or trailer is available to hire for events across The Chart and nearby, from gardens to venue grounds and business parks. It works well for company away days and retirement parties, serving burritos, burrito bowls and fresh salsas and guacamole.

For a rural spot like The Chart, food truck hire needs a little planning: gate widths, soft ground and the route from the road all matter. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements before the day. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Try these:

  • Plan a covered area for guests to eat
  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Check gate widths and any height limits
  • Collect diets and allergies with your RSVPs

We drive in at the agreed time and park in the planned spot. It helps if someone can meet us on arrival.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Prices and what affects them

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Food, drinks or both
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Travel, parking and access

Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

What we need to know

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Where the event is
  • The date and rough timings

Each quote is tailored to your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we’re available that day.

How it compares

If you want guests to remember the food, a private food truck is a strong option. Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you can choose what you need.

How the day works

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can spend time with your guests. A hired food truck at a summer event in The Chart can serve in daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer, and by late September sunset is about 7:05pm. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so the queue by the hatch needs lighting.

  1. Tell us what the event is and who’s coming.
  2. Together we plan dishes that cover your guests’ diets.
  3. Power, water and timings are agreed with you or the venue.
  4. Service runs at the times you choose.
  5. Once service ends, we tidy up and go.

How to prepare

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
