Food truck hire near The Mint
Food truck hire for your event in The Mint
Food truck hire suits weddings, milestone birthdays and staff events. On the menu are vegan tacos, loaded nachos and quesadillas, which works well for anniversary celebrations and family celebrations.
In a small place like The Mint, a hired food truck might park in a garden, paddock or field. Lanes, gates and long drives are fine if we know about them. Soft ground after rain is worth mentioning too. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.
Food truck hire or something else?
A marquee kitchen with plated service needs more space, more staff and more time. A food truck arrives as a kitchen and serves from the hatch. Pricing depends on the event. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

How the day works
From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can enjoy your event. Late-September events in The Mint see sunset at about 7:05pm, so a later service will need some lighting. In late May, daylight lasts until about 8:55pm.
- Tell us the date, the location, rough numbers and any diets.
- We suggest a menu for the hatch and quote for it.

Working with your venue
If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We’ll provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.
If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.
Can I do a taco night myself?
Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.
Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Planning for every diet
Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. Here are a few tips for planning:
- Check parking and loading rules for street locations
- Think about cover if the weather turns
- Confirm allergies with us in writing
- Measure gates and look for low branches on the way in
We can serve through rain, but guests will want a covered area to eat.
Add a build-your-own taco bar beside the truck.
