Taco bar hire in The Mint
Planning a taco bar in The Mint
The Mint is about 4 miles north-east of Petersfield, in Hampshire. For taco bar hire in The Mint, we can serve in gardens, fields, venues, car parks and courtyards with access. We cover all 683 towns and villages in Hampshire. Our nearest city page is Chichester, about 15 miles away.
If you’re celebrating after a service at a church like Hope Church, a hall close by could host a staffed taco bar, with the venue’s permission. With the South Downs National Park about 5 miles away at most, a countryside taco bar is an option from The Mint. Rural venues may limit vehicles, so ask where we can park and unload.
Taco bar hire in GU33 is planned around your venue and access and your guests. If your venue is just outside The Mint, we also cover Liss Forest (1 mile north-west), Liss (1 mile south-west), Rake (1 mile south-east), West Liss (1 mile south-west) and Hill Brow (1 mile south). Within a short drive, we also cover Havant (14 miles south), Horndean (11 miles south-west), Aldershot (14 miles north), Alton (8 miles north-west), Waterlooville (13 miles south-west) and Petersfield (4 miles south-west).
Other landmarks nearby include Chase Community Hospital (3.9 miles north). Green spaces nearby include Liss Riverside Railway Walk North and Wheatham Hill.
- Local pubs include The Temple Inn (less than half a mile north-west)
How our taco bar hire works in The Mint
Toppings make the bar: pickled onions, coriander, lime, shredded lettuce and cheese, agreed with you in advance. For evening wedding receptions and company parties, we can serve burrito bowls, fresh salsas and pickled onions and toppings.
Near The Mint, a marquee or barn makes a good home for a taco bar. We set up the station and our team runs it; tell us about access and parking. You’ll know what’s included before booking: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.
For event organisers in The Mint
Throwing a party at home? Send us a photo of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.
Many venues have rules for outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.
Catering for every guest
With a little notice, most diets are easy. We suggest:
- Check where our vehicle can unload
- Send us allergy details in writing
- Pick the spot for the taco bar in advance
- Make sure one filling is vegan
After the last plate, we take the bar down.
A wider range of salsas suits guests who like it mild and those who like it hot.

Planning the serving area
We’ll be honest if a space will not work, and help find another spot. What matters most:
- A short, clear path for carrying the bar in
- Shelter from rain and sun for an outdoor bar
- Space beside the truck or trailer if you are booking both
If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before booking.
On the menu in The Mint

- Tortilla chips
- Two to four fillings

Questions from The Mint
Which station is closest to The Mint?
Guests can use Liss station, about 0.8 miles south-west of The Mint.
Can you cater a reception after a service at Hope Church?
Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.
Is the food made fresh?
We slow-cook fillings ahead, then finish them and keep them hot at your event. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.
Do you provide plates and napkins?
Ask us when you enquire. Let us know what you already have, and we’ll set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.
Can you do gluten-free food?
Yes, we offer gluten-free options, using corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can explain how we prepare their food. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?
What if the weather’s bad?
The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, like a marquee or gazebo.
Can we have a taco bar at our wedding?
The taco bar can be the wedding breakfast, the evening food or both. Timings are agreed with you and your venue, and guests build their own plates.
What do you need at the venue?
Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, plus the venue’s permission. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.
DIY taco night versus a caterer
You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.
Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.
Who books taco bar hire in The Mint?
Vegans, vegetarians and gluten-free guests eat from the same table, since corn tortillas and vegan fillings sit with everything else.
Whatever the occasion, our food truck or trailer can be the centre of it. We are happy to cater:
- Office lunches
- Birthday parties
- Wedding meals
- Garden parties
If people are travelling in by rail, the nearest station is Liss station, about 0.8 miles south-west.

What taco bar hire costs
Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:
- The menu you choose
- Staff for serving and the bar
- The length of service
- The number of people
A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

How it works
When we arrive, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. We are ready to serve at the agreed time, so everything runs to your schedule. From late May to late September, sunset in The Mint moves from about 8:55pm to 7:05pm. Let us know if an outdoor station will run after dark, and we’ll talk about lighting.
- Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
- We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
- Together we fix the spot for the taco bar and a nearby place for our vehicle.
- We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and guests help themselves.
