Mexican catering in Luccombe Village

Mexican catering in Luccombe Village, from our truck or trailer

Our truck and trailer service tends to suit around 50 to 400 guests. Larger festivals and smaller parties are looked at case by case, so let us know how many you expect. For markets and community events and fundraisers and school events, we’ll put together a menu of tacos, loaded nachos and quesadillas.

Somewhere as small as Luccombe Village, a garden or field is often the venue. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives and we will plan for them, and soft ground after rain is worth mentioning. Timings are planned around your event, so service starts when you want it.

Catering for every guest

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Try these:

  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply
  • Tell us what other food is being served
  • Confirm allergies by email before the event
  • Have a covered area ready in case of rain

Once everyone has eaten, we tidy up and pack away.

Add our Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you.

The closest is Shanklin station, roughly 1.2 miles away.

Could you serve our guests after a service at St Blasius Church?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you cater in Luccombe Village?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Luccombe Village and the rest of the Isle of Wight. To check your date, tell us about it on our contact page.

How is the food prepared?

Food is cooked to order in our food truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

Can guests build their own tacos?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Let us know your numbers and space and we’ll recommend how to serve.

What does Mexican catering cost?

It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the length of service and the location. Contact us for a quote.

Do you cater for big events?

Pizza and burger vans are familiar choices. Mexican street food stands out, yet it is still food most guests know and like. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

What we need at the venue

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but there are a few things to check:

  • Permission from the venue or landowner
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand
  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar

Luccombe Village is a more remote spot, so tell us early and we’ll plan the journey and access for the truck or trailer.

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly.

How we price Mexican catering

We quote for your event, and the price is based on:

  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • What the venue already provides
  • Timings and hours
  • How many guests we’re serving

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

What we need to know

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. To send your details, send a quick message through our quote form.

How it works

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can spend time with your guests. A December event in Luccombe Village will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so choose a spot where guests can see what they’re ordering. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

  1. You tell us the date, the venue, rough guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. We check access, power and water with you or the venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve from the truck or trailer, or from a taco-bar station.
  5. When service ends, we pack down and clear our area.
