Mexican catering for your event in Lake
Need taco catering in Lake? The menu starts with tacos: warm tortillas with your choice of fillings, plus fresh salsas, guacamole and toppings. Burritos, burrito bowls, loaded nachos and quesadillas can sit alongside them. It works well for garden parties and company summer parties, serving a build-your-own taco bar, fresh salsas and guacamole and burritos.
In a smaller place like Lake, your own garden, drive or a local hall is often the simplest option: no venue hire, and nobody stuck in the kitchen. Let us know about the route to the house. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

How we price Mexican catering
Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:
- How many guests we are serving
- How long we are needed on site
- Distance and access to the venue
- What the venue already provides
The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. We quote for each event individually.
What to tell us
For a quote, it helps to have:
- A picture of where we’d park
- The date and time of the event
- Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
- What you’d like on the menu
Still deciding on the menu? No problem: give us the basics about your event, and we’ll make suggestions. When you are ready, use our quote form.
Mexican catering around Lake
Lake is about 1 mile south-west of Sandown, in the Isle of Wight. For Mexican catering in Lake, we plan around your venue and timings: a clear quote, agreed timings and fresh service on the day. Lake is one of 125 places in the Isle of Wight we cover. You can also see our page for Portsmouth, about 12 miles away.
For a christening or wedding at a church such as Church of The Good Shepherd, a food truck at a garden or venue nearby is an easy way to feed everyone. Reaching Lake by road is easy for us, thanks to the A3055. With the sea within about 2 miles, a beach-side event might appeal. Promenades and beaches normally need permission, and the truck or trailer has to park on firm ground, not sand.
This part of the Isle of Wight takes in PO36 and PO37. Whether your event is on Lea Road, New Road and Percy Road or a nearby road, we will plan where to park and serve. Being close to the A3055, Lake is easy for us to reach. Close by, we cover events in Sandown (1 mile north-east), Alverstone (1 mile north-west), Queen's Bower (1 mile north-west), Shanklin (1 mile south) and Alverstone Garden Village (1 mile north-west). Within a short drive, we also cover Newport (7 miles north-west), Ryde (5 miles north), Cowes (10 miles north-west), Ventnor (4 miles south-west), East Cowes (9 miles north-west) and Oakfield (5 miles north). For an event at a remote venue, let us know early and we will plan the trip and the route in for the truck or trailer.
A little further out are National Poo Museum (under half a mile east) and Arthur Webster Memorial Hospital for Children (1.2 miles south-west). Green spaces nearby include Brading Down and Alverstone Mead.
- Schools near Lake include Sandown Bay Academy (0.6 miles north) and The Bay Church of England School (0.7 miles north-east)
- Pubs nearby include The Old Comical pub (0.6 miles north-east)
DIY taco night or a caterer?
Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.
You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.
Your questions about Mexican catering in Lake
Which station is closest to Lake?
Lake station, in Lake itself.
Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of The Good Shepherd?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.
What’s on the menu?
Mexican street food and drinks: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.
How long do you serve for?
That depends on your event and menu. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you to suit your day.
How is the food prepared?
Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.
Do you cater for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free guests?
We plan carefully for diets and keep options separate, but we cannot promise a kitchen without traces of any allergen. Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us first.
What do you need at the venue?
Level, firm ground, access for the truck or trailer and the venue’s agreement. Power and water are confirmed with each booking.
Who clears up?
We pack down and leave our area tidy. Tell us the venue’s rules on waste and clearing up and we’ll talk it through.
What happens on the day
On the day, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. Service starts at the time we have agreed, planned around your event. Daylight in Lake runs to about 8:55pm in late May and 7:10pm in late September. If your event carries on later, tell us what lighting the venue has.
- You tell us the date, the venue, rough guest numbers and any dietary needs.
- We put together a menu around your guests and quote for it.
- Together we confirm where the truck or trailer will park, plus power and water.
- We arrive, set up and cook to order, with salsas and guacamole made fresh.
- After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.
Before we arrive
- Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
- Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
- Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time

Space, access and the venue
The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We need:
- Space for a taco-bar table if you’ve chosen one
- Clear vehicle access: gate widths, height limits and the ground checked before the day
- Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
Out-of-the-way places like Lake take a little more planning, so let us know about tracks, gates and power in good time.
If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before booking.
