Taco bar hire in Cheapside, served fresh

Fillings are agreed with you, such as pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, with a vegan filling like black bean and sweet potato or spiced mushroom. It works well for team socials and working lunches, with slow-cooked fillings kept hot, guacamole and warm corn and flour tortillas.

Somewhere as small as Cheapside, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If the truck cannot get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. You’ll know what’s included before you book: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Collect dietary needs with your replies
  • Let us know about anyone who is coeliac

We get there early enough to unload, lay out the table and heat everything through.

Ask us whether a second station would help with big numbers.

Questions from Cheapside

Do you cater in villages like Cheapside?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

What’s the nearest station to Cheapside for guests?

Guests can use Ascot station, about 1.6 miles south-west of Cheapside.

What about power on site?

Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we will park, and we’ll confirm what we need with your quote.

Do you have options for kids?

Of course. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.

Do you take everything away?

Our area is packed away and left tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we will talk it through.

What do you need at the venue?

Tell us about the venue and the spot you have in mind, and we’ll check it works. We also need the venue’s permission.

Can you run a bar?

Yes, we do. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. For alcohol, we’ll check the licensing with you and your venue.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we cannot promise anything is completely allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Why choose taco bar hire in Cheapside?

The difference between a taco bar and truck service is who builds the taco. At the hatch, we make each order; at the bar, guests build their own. There is no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

Why us?

  • We cover Cheapside and the whole of Windsor and Maidenhead
  • A menu agreed with you
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • A quote that sets out what’s included

Can I do a taco night myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

What taco bar hire costs

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • The length of service
  • Parking and the route in
  • The number of people
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food

Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

What to tell us

To speed things up, tell us:

  • The address or venue name
  • Your menu ideas
  • A picture of the space, if it’s a garden or field
  • The date and rough timings

Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We’ll send you a clear quote and a suggested menu.

Vegan fillings

Spiced mushroom, or black bean and sweet potato, cooked separately.

The process

On the day, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. We are ready to serve at the agreed time, so everything runs to your schedule. Around midsummer it stays light in Cheapside until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Share a few details about the event.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar menu and a quote.
  3. We check power, water and access with your venue.
  4. We arrive, unload and lay out warm tortillas, fillings and toppings.
  5. Afterwards, we pack down and leave the area tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
