Taco bar hire near Cross Gate
Taco bar hire for your event in Cross Gate
Our staff set up the taco bar and look after it through service: warming tortillas, keeping fillings hot and refilling the salsas as they go. Your hosts can stay with their guests. For marquee parties and back-garden gatherings, we will put together a menu of guacamole, burrito bowls and slow-cooked fillings kept hot and more.
Near Cross Gate, a marquee or barn makes a good home for a taco bar. Our staff set up the station and run it through service; tell us about access and parking. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Catering for every guest
Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free included. To make it work smoothly:
- Check where our vehicle can unload
- Collect dietary needs with your replies
- Make sure guests have somewhere to sit
- Plan the taco bar around speeches and timings
Indoors or under cover, the bar carries on whatever the weather.
Our food truck or trailer can serve later in the day, after the taco bar.
How it works
We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. Send us a picture of the space if you are unsure. Daylight in Cross Gate runs to about 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September. If the taco bar is outdoors and runs later, tell us what lighting the venue has.
- Start with the essentials: the date, venue, headcount and diets.
- You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
- We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
- Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
- After the last tacos, we clear the station away.
Preparing for the day
- Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
- Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
- Give us your final numbers and diets

Cross Gate: your questions answered
Is Cross Gate close to London?
It’s about 44 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.
Is it possible to have you in Parham Park?
It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.
How much does taco bar hire cost?
There is no price list, because no two events are the same. Share your plans and you will get a quote. Our guide to Mexican catering costs may help.
Is a taco bar right for a wedding?
A taco bar works well for a relaxed wedding breakfast. Service is timed around speeches and photos. There’s more in our taco bar guide.
What if the weather’s bad?
We can serve from the hatch in the rain. It’s worth planning a covered area for guests, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.
Can you set up where a truck cannot get in?
The bar can stand on its own, away from the truck or trailer. We still need somewhere close to unload our vehicle, and the venue has to agree.
Can you cater for children?
Yes, children are easy to plan for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we’ll suggest mild options.
Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?
Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect.
Perfect for your event in Cross Gate
Guests choose exactly what goes on their plate.
If you are planning any of these, we can help:
- Garden parties
- Christenings and family parties
- Birthday celebrations
- Wedding day food
Before you plan a taco bar in Parham Park, find out who manages it, as catering and unloading there both need their agreement.
What to look for in a quote
- VAT, if it applies
- How many staff are serving, and for how long
- Whether plates, napkins and cutlery are included
- Exactly what’s included in the price
Before you choose a spot
We’ll agree the spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:
- A level area for the taco-bar table
- Space for a line of guests at the bar
- Permission from the venue for us to set up
If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.
Popular choices
- Salsas and guacamole
- Tortilla chips
- Corn and flour tortillas
- Pickled onions and toppings
- Two to four fillings

DIY taco night versus a caterer
DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.
Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.
Is taco bar hire right for your event?
The difference between a taco bar and truck service is who builds the taco. At the hatch, we make each order; at the bar, guests build their own. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.
