How our taco bar hire works in North Stoneham

The bar can stand beside our food truck or trailer, or on its own. Where a vehicle cannot reach the serving spot, we unload nearby and set the table up there, as long as the venue agrees. It works well for family celebrations and barn and marquee parties, serving pickled onions and toppings, a build-your-own taco bar and burrito bowls.

In a small place like North Stoneham, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so set-up goes smoothly.

Taco bar hire in North Stoneham: local tips

North Stoneham is about 2 miles south-west of Eastleigh, in Hampshire. We bring taco bar hire to homes, gardens and venues in North Stoneham. North Stoneham is one of 683 towns and villages in Hampshire where we can bring taco bar hire.

By rail: the nearest station is Southampton Airport Parkway station, about 0.8 miles south-east. Close to North Stoneham are historic houses such as South Stoneham House (1.3 miles south) and Southampton Tudor House and Garden (4 miles south). Historic venues often limit where vehicles can go, so ask whether a taco bar station could be set up inside while our truck or trailer parks further off. With the sea within about 4 miles, a taco bar at a coastal venue is an option. Open toppings and a sea breeze do not mix, so a sheltered or indoor spot is best.

Wherever your event is in SO50, we can bring the truck or trailer to your guests. From Turnor Way and Stoneham Lane or anywhere nearby, we will plan where to park and serve. Neighbouring places where we cater events include Swaythling (1 mile south), Bassett Green (1 mile south), Mansbridge (1 mile south-east), Eastleigh (2 miles north-east) and Boyatt Wood (2 miles north-east). Larger places within reach include Winchester (8 miles north), Gosport (14 miles south-east), Fareham (11 miles south-east), Totton (6 miles south-west), Hedge End (4 miles south-east) and Romsey (5 miles north-west).

A little further out are Princess Anne Hospital (2.7 miles south-west) and Eastleigh Museum (1.5 miles north-east). Not far away are Flexford Nature Reserve.

  • Nearby schools include Saint George Catholic Voluntary Aided College Southampton (0.6 miles south) and Saint George Catholic Voluntary Aided College Southampton (0.6 miles south)
  • Local pubs include The Fleming Arms Public House (1 mile south)

Step by step

Once service is over, we pack down and clear our own area. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. Around midsummer it stays light in North Stoneham until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 4:00pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Start with your date, venue and guest numbers.
  2. Together we choose what goes on the bar.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we’ll unload.
  4. Our staff set out the bar and guests build their own tacos.
  5. When everyone has eaten, we pack up.

Planning help

How we price taco bar hire

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • Travel, parking and access
  • What the venue already provides
  • How many guests we’re serving
  • The menu you choose

Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so tell us what you have in mind. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest a menu.

Details that help

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Your menu ideas
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Where the event is

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and you will get menu ideas and a price. To get started, fill in our quote form.

Comparing your options

Buffet trays can go cold and tired. We keep the fillings hot and refill the dishes through service. There is no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

Common questions in North Stoneham

Do you cater in villages like North Stoneham?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Can you cater a reception after a service at St. Nicolas' Church?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Is a taco bar right for a wedding?

It can serve the wedding meal, the evening or both. We agree the timings with your venue, and guests build their own plates.

What do you need at the venue?

A level spot for the serving table, room to queue and somewhere close to unload our vehicle. We confirm power and water when you book.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.

When do you arrive?

We arrive in good time to set up before service. Serving times are agreed with you in advance.

What food and drinks do you offer?

Mexican street food: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. A drinks bar is available too, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

Do you take everything away?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Tell us the venue’s rules on waste and clearing up and we’ll talk it through.

Organising for someone else?

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.
