Taco bar hire for Merton Abbey events

Taco bar hire in Merton Abbey, served fresh

Mixed diets are simple at a taco bar, because every filling and topping sits in its own dish. We plan gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan choices, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish. We serve guacamole, pickled onions and toppings and fresh salsas, which works well for marquee parties and engagement parties.

London gardens are often reached only through the house, and many venues in Merton Abbey have no vehicle access to the room. The station can go where the truck cannot, as long as the venue agrees, and the route from our parking spot to the station needs to be clear. Timings are planned around your event, so service starts when you want it.

For event organisers in Merton Abbey

Events in public spaces, like parks, usually need permission. We’ll provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Why choose taco bar hire in Merton Abbey?

Pizza is a safe choice, but a taco bar lets every guest design their own plate. Pricing depends on the event. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

What we offer in Merton Abbey

  • Every guest catered for, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan included
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Quoted for your event
  • Access, space and power checked in advance

See our pricing and our guide to catering costs.

Before you choose a spot

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We need:

  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • Space for a serving table on level ground
  • A short, clear path for carrying the bar in

In Merton Abbey, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.

Popular choices

How we price taco bar hire

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • The length of service
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • What’s on the menu

Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Your quote confirms the full price.

What to tell us

To speed things up, tell us:

  • The date and time of the event
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground

Not sure what you need yet? That’s fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we’ll make suggestions. When you are ready, use our quote form.

What’s on the menu

Hot fillings

Slow-cooked fillings kept hot on the bar, such as carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria.

Vegan fillings

Vegan guests get a proper filling of their own, not an afterthought.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Common questions in Merton Abbey

Could you serve our guests after a service at Christ Church Colliers Wood?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Is parking a problem for events in Merton Abbey?

That depends on the street. A drive, a courtyard or a bay suspended by the council can all work, so tell us what’s outside your venue. The ULEZ covers all of Greater London.

Can you do dairy-free food?

We can. Dairy-free options are part of our menus, and we’ll tell you which dishes contain milk.

Do you cover Merton Abbey?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, and Merton Abbey is within our area. For a quote, send us your details through our quote form.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we will talk licensing through with you.

When do you arrive?

That depends on your event and menu. Timings are agreed in advance so everything fits your schedule.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

Yes. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

What space does a taco bar need?

Tell us about the venue and the spot you have in mind, and we’ll check it works. We also need the venue’s permission.

Step by step

We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. Guests come up to order when service opens. Around midsummer it stays light in Merton Abbey until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is usually served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. We send a sample spread and a quote.
  3. We check power, water and access with your venue.
  4. We arrive, unload and lay out warm tortillas, fillings and toppings.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

Getting ready for the day

  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
