Taco bar hire for New Forest events
DIY taco night or a caterer?
A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.
Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.
How our taco bar hire works in New Forest
Taco bars suit wedding breakfasts, parties and office lunches alike. Guests build their plates quickly, so a crowd moves through steadily, and nobody waits long. It works well for staff parties and leaving and retirement parties, with warm corn and flour tortillas, guacamole and slow-cooked fillings kept hot.
In a small place like New Forest, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If the truck cannot get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Taco bar hire or something else?
The difference between a taco bar and truck service is who builds the taco. At the hatch, we make each order; at the bar, guests build their own. Comparing caterers? Common questions in New Forest
We’re having a ceremony at Church of All Saints: can you cater afterwards?
Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.
Do you set up taco bars indoors in places like New Forest?
We can, as long as the venue agrees. The station needs room for a queue, and we need to park and unload close to the door.
Can you cater in a back garden?
Yes, as long as there’s access and a level, firm spot. Send us a photo of the access and the space, and we’ll tell you honestly whether it works.
Is the food made fresh?
Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.
Who looks after the taco bar?
We run the station ourselves, so you don’t need helpers. We pack it away afterwards.
When should we book?
As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.
Do you have vegan options?
Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect, and we will keep their options separate.
How spicy is the food?
We can keep it mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.
How it works
We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. Winter evenings in New Forest close in by about 4:05pm, so set the station up where the lighting is good. In late June, the light holds until around 9:25pm.
- Tell us about your event and your guests.
- You get a suggested taco-bar menu and a quote.
- Access, power and water are agreed beforehand.
- We arrive, unload and lay out warm tortillas, fillings and toppings.
- At the end, we take everything away.
Before we arrive
- Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
- Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
- Let us know who to talk to on the day

Planning help
Prices and what affects them
We quote for your event, and the price is based on:
- Travel, parking and access
- How many staff you need
- Food, drinks or both
- How long we’re needed on site
There’s no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Your quote sets it all out.
Details that help
You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:
- What you’d like on the menu
- The venue or postcode
- Gate widths, slopes and the ground
- The date and time of the event
Send us the date, your venue or SP6 postcode and guest numbers, plus any dietary needs, and we will reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, drop us a line using the enquiry form.
