About the menu

Toppings

The toppings are where guests make each taco their own.

Guacamole

No taco bar is complete without guacamole, so we keep it topped up.

About our taco bar hire in Ringwood

The bar can stand beside our truck or trailer, or on its own. If the truck cannot get to the spot, we park close by, unload and carry the bar in, as long as the venue agrees. At birthday parties and leaving dos, we can serve warm corn and flour tortillas, fresh salsas and guacamole.

A place like Ringwood may have a hall or a club nearby if your garden is small; we need the venue’s permission, a level spot and somewhere to unload. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

Planning the serving area

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

  • A flat spot for the taco-bar station
  • The venue’s or landowner’s agreement
  • Somewhere close by for our vehicle to park and unload

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

How the day works

It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, get the serving area ready, and serve without fuss. From late May to late September, sunset in Ringwood moves from about 8:55pm to 7:10pm. If the taco bar is outdoors and runs later, tell us what lighting the venue has.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. Together we fix the spot for the taco bar and a nearby place for our vehicle.
  4. Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches

How to compare caterers

How we price taco bar hire

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • The menu you choose
  • Timings and hours
  • Distance and access to the venue

Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you can choose what you need.

What to tell us

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • Your menu ideas
  • The date and rough timings
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Where the event is

The quickest way to a quote is to tell us about it on our contact page. Give us the details of your event, and we’ll suggest a menu to suit.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Your questions about taco bar hire in Ringwood

Could you serve in Avon Heath Country Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Trinity Congregational Church?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Does the taco bar need the truck on site?

The bar can stand on its own, away from the truck or trailer. We still need to park our vehicle nearby to unload, and the venue’s agreement.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, made with corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can talk through how their food is prepared.

How much does taco bar hire cost?

We don’t publish set prices, as each booking is different. Share your plans and you will get a quote. Our guide to Mexican catering costs may help.

How long are you on site?

That depends on your event and menu. Timings are agreed in advance so everything fits your schedule.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we’ll keep their options separate.

Can you come to a private house?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer can’t reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.

For planners, venues and organisers

If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

How it compares

The difference between a taco bar and truck service is who builds the taco. From the truck, we put each order together; at the taco bar, guests do the building. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.
