Taco bar hire for New Town events
How the day works
When service finishes, we pack up and leave our area tidy. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. In New Town, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is normally served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.
- Begin with the date and headcount.
- We agree a menu that covers every diet.
- Nearer the date, we confirm timings and the serving spot.
- The bar opens at the agreed time.
- Once service is over, we pack away.
Before we arrive
- Let us know the timings for the day
- Let us know who to talk to on the day
- Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough

Taco bar hire for your event in New Town
A taco bar suits mixed diets well, as fillings and toppings are kept in separate dishes. There are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan choices, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish. It works well for barn and marquee parties and team lunches, serving warm corn and flour tortillas, a build-your-own taco bar and pickled onions and toppings.
In a small place like New Town, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If the truck can’t get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. We will check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Diets, allergies and planning
Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Here’s how you can help:
- Ask guests about diets and allergies on the RSVP
- Choose at least one vegan filling
- Fit the bar into your running order
- Have tables and seats ready for guests to eat at
Each dish is labelled, and allergen information is kept at the bar.
Our drinks bar can sit alongside the taco bar for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you.
Can I do a taco night myself?
You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.
Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

FAQs for New Town
Do you cater in villages like New Town?
Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.
Can you bring a truck or trailer to venues in the North Wessex Downs National Landscape?
Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and catering, so check with yours. Tell us about narrow lanes and soft ground.
What does a taco bar cost?
There is no price list, because no two events are the same. Share your plans and you will get a quote. See what Mexican catering costs for background.
What happens if it rains?
We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.
Do you need electricity?
It depends on the event and the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Let us know whether there’s a supply near where we’ll park.
How big an event can you cater?
Truck and trailer service usually suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.
Do you take everything away?
We pack down and tidy our own area after service. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.
Do you have dairy-free options?
Yes, on request. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we’ll include them in the plan.

Why choose taco bar hire in New Town?
The difference between a taco bar and truck service is who builds the taco. From the truck, we put each order together; at the bar, guests build their own. The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.
Why us?
- Quoted for your event
- Access, space and power checked in advance
- Service planned around your numbers
- A menu built around your guests
Prices and what affects them
We’ll give you a clear quote. What affects it most:
- Food, drinks or both
- Your choice of food and drinks
- How many staff you need
- Travel, parking and access
There’s no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Your quote sets it all out.
Getting an accurate quote
To speed things up, tell us:
- The address or venue name
- Gate widths, slopes and the ground
- The date and rough timings
- Roughly how many adults and children
Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we’re available that day.

Toppings
Toppings let guests finish their tacos their way.
For planners, venues and organisers
Events in public spaces, like parks, usually need permission. We’ll provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.
If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.
Before you choose a spot
Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but there are a few things to check:
- A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
- Room for guests to queue along the table
- Shelter from rain and sun for an outdoor bar
Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.
