Taco bar hire near Piddinghoe

About our taco bar hire in Piddinghoe

Fillings are agreed with you, perhaps carnitas, chicken tinga or birria, with a vegan filling like black bean and sweet potato or spiced mushroom. It suits birthday parties and marquee parties, serving pickled onions and toppings, slow-cooked fillings kept hot and a build-your-own taco bar.

In a hamlet or village like Piddinghoe, a barn or marquee can shelter a taco bar from the weather. We set up the station and our team runs it; tell us about access and parking. We will check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Vegan fillings

Black bean and sweet potato, or spiced mushrooms.

Hot fillings

Slow-cooked fillings kept hot on the bar, such as carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria.

The process

We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. Around midsummer it stays light in Piddinghoe until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Start with the essentials: the date, venue, headcount and diets.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and guests help themselves.
  5. After the last tacos, we clear the station away.

Preparing for the day

  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Ask the venue about power and water

Questions from Piddinghoe

Do you cater in villages like Piddinghoe?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Can you cater a reception after a service at The Parish Church of St John?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, made with corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

What happens if it rains?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

Do you come to Piddinghoe?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, including Piddinghoe. To check your date, send a quick message through our quote form.

Do you stay to run the taco bar?

The taco bar is served from a table or station by our staff, so you don’t need helpers. When service ends, we clear it away.

Is the food made fresh?

We cook to order in our food truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Of course. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms.

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so everyone is served promptly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Catering for every guest

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. We suggest:

  • Tell us when guests should eat

After the last plate, we take the bar down, then load our vehicle.
