Taco bar hire in Uckfield, from our truck or trailer

Truck and trailer bookings typically suit around 50 to 400 guests, while smaller parties are quoted case by case. Tell us your numbers and we will plan the taco bar around them. It works well for company parties and marquee parties, with a build-your-own taco bar, slow-cooked fillings kept hot and warm corn and flour tortillas.

In Uckfield, a taco bar can be set up inside a hall or club, with the venue’s agreement. The station needs space, a route in from the parking area and room to queue. Your quote sets out what’s included: menu, timings and any add-ons.

Diets, allergies and planning

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
  • Let us know about anyone who is coeliac
  • Set out seating near the bar
  • Fit the bar into your running order

We get there early enough to unload, lay out the table and heat everything through.

Burrito bowls sit well on the bar for anyone avoiding tortillas.

Space, access and the venue

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but there are a few things to check:

  • Space beside the truck or trailer if you’re booking both
  • The venue’s agreement for the taco bar and our vehicle
  • A level area for the taco-bar table

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

Menu ideas

  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Two to four fillings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Vegan fillings
  • Tortilla chips
  • Pickled onions and toppings

How it works

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. Winter evenings in Uckfield close in by about 3:55pm, so an indoor spot or a well-lit station works best. In late June, the light holds until around 9:15pm.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. We send a sample spread and a quote.
  3. We check power, water and access with your venue.
  4. We arrive, unload and lay out warm tortillas, fillings and toppings.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

Getting ready for the day

  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Find out what power and water are available

How we price taco bar hire

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • The length of service
  • What the venue already provides
  • Serving staff
  • Parking and the route in

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

What to tell us

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Expected numbers
  • What power and water the site has
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • The address or venue name

Send us the date, your venue or TN22 postcode and guest numbers, along with any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, use our quote form.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Is taco bar hire right for your event?

Next to a hog roast or carvery, a taco bar handles vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests without separate plates. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there is no kitchen to hire. Ask us for a quote.
