Taco bar hire in South Down

How our taco bar hire works in South Down

We can serve the taco bar next to the truck or trailer, or as a separate station. If the truck cannot get to the spot, we park close by, unload and carry the bar in, as long as the venue agrees. Popular choices include a build-your-own taco bar, slow-cooked fillings kept hot and burrito bowls, and it is a good fit for retirement parties and barn and marquee parties.

Near South Down, a marquee or barn makes a good home for a taco bar. We set up the station and our team runs it. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so there are no surprises on arrival.

What taco bar hire costs

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • The menu you choose
  • The number of people
  • What the venue already provides
  • Distance and access to the venue

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we’ll set out what’s included.

What we need to know

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • The date and rough timings

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you need. To ask for one, use our quote form.

About the menu

Salsas

Fresh salsas, from a mild tomato salsa to something hotter.

Toppings

Lime, coriander, pickled onions, cheese and crema.

Planning for every diet

Every guest is catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included. To get it right:

  • Have anyone with a severe allergy speak to us first
  • Include a dietary question on your invitations
  • Fit the bar into your running order
  • Give us separate numbers for children

We warm tortillas in batches and keep the fillings hot.

Our truck or trailer can serve later in the day, after the taco bar, quoted with the rest.

How the day works

We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. Guests come up to order when service opens. Evenings in South Down stay light until about 9:25pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:10pm. Once it gets dark, guests need to see what they’re adding to their tacos.

  1. Send us your date, where the taco bar will go, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. Together we fix the spot for the taco bar and a nearby place for our vehicle.
  4. We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and guests help themselves.
  5. After the last tacos, we clear the station away.

Preparing for the day

  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park

How long are you on site?

That depends on your event and menu. Timings are agreed in advance so everything fits your schedule.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

Please ask us. Let us know what you already have, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

What do you need at the venue?

Access and level ground matter most: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a picture of the space and the way in.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes, we can. Tell us how many guests need dairy-free food, and we will plan the menu around them.
