Taco bar hire near Ventnor

What affects the price in Ventnor

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • What’s on the menu
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Parking and the route in

Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you can choose what you need.

Details that help

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Where the event is
  • A photo of the space, if it’s a garden or field

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you need. For a quote, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Taco bar hire for your event in Ventnor

Our taco bar travels to events across Ventnor and the surrounding area: marquees, barns, gardens, halls and workplaces, wherever there’s room for the table. It suits working lunches and barn parties, with pickled onions and toppings, guacamole and fresh salsas.

A place like Ventnor may have a hall or a club nearby if your garden is small; we need the venue’s permission, a level spot and somewhere to unload. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

  • The venue requirements

Questions to ask before you book

The menu, item by item

Hot fillings

A few fillings give guests plenty of choice, including a vegan one. You choose them with us.

Guacamole

Guacamole goes quickly on a taco bar.

Diets, allergies and planning

With a little notice, most diets are easy. We suggest:

  • Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
  • Confirm any allergies to us by email
  • Choose at least one vegan filling
  • Pick the spot for the taco bar in advance

Fillings are kept hot and tortillas warmed in batches.

Our food truck or trailer can serve later in the day, after the taco bar, quoted with the rest.

Is taco bar hire right for your event?

Pizza is the usual crowd-pleaser, but a taco bar lets every guest design their own plate. Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

What you get with us

Your questions about taco bar hire in Ventnor

We’re having a ceremony at St Catherine's Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Do you cater at coastal events near Ventnor?

Yes, with permission for the spot and firm ground for the truck or trailer. Wind, sand and seafront permissions are the main things to plan on the coast.

Do you have gluten-free options?

We can, using corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

Do you come to Ventnor?

Yes, we do. Ventnor is one of the places we cover. Tell us your date and we will check availability.

What is a build-your-own taco bar?

A serving table is laid with warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and each guest builds their own. Our staff keep it hot and topped up.

Can you come to a private house?

Yes, if the truck or trailer can get in and park on level, firm ground. Tell us about the drive, gates and any slopes, and we will tell you honestly whether it works.

How far ahead should we book?

The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so it pays to ask early.

How many guests can a taco bar serve?

That depends on your timings and the event. As a guide, our bookings normally fall around 50 to 400 guests, so tell us your numbers.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

What happens on the day

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can spend time with your guests. A December taco bar in Ventnor will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so an indoor spot or a well-lit station works best. In late June, the light holds until around 9:20pm.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. Before the day, we confirm the serving spot, unloading, power and water with the venue.
  4. We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and guests help themselves.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat

Where the truck can go in Ventnor

We’ll be honest if a space will not work, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:

  • Details of power and water near the bar
  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
  • A level area for the taco-bar table

Ventnor is a more remote spot, so tell us early and we’ll plan the journey and access for the truck or trailer.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.

What we offer

  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Tortilla chips
  • Two to four fillings
  • Vegan fillings
  • Pickled onions and toppings
