Taco bar hire near West End

How our taco bar hire works in West End

Taco bars suit wedding breakfasts, parties and office lunches alike. Building your own is quick, which keeps the line moving, and nobody waits long. For wedding breakfasts and evening wedding receptions, we can serve pickled onions and toppings, guacamole and warm corn and flour tortillas for your guests.

Around West End, a taco bar can stand beside our truck on a drive or lawn. If the truck can’t reach the garden, we park as close as we can and set the station up where your guests are, as long as we can unload within a short walk. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

How it works

Your timings come first. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, let us know and we will adjust where we can. Evenings in West End stay light until about 9:25pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:10pm. Once it gets dark, guests need to see what they’re adding to their tacos.

  1. Share a few details about the event.
  2. We send a sample spread and a quote.
  3. We check power, water and access with your venue.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

Before we arrive

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Find out what power and water are available
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

How to get a price

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Catering for every guest

With a little notice, most diets are easy. We suggest:

  • Include a dietary question on your invitations
  • Count children separately
  • Flag any guest with coeliac disease
  • Decide where the table goes before the day

Once guests have eaten, we clear the table and pack up.

Burrito bowls sit well on the bar for anyone avoiding tortillas.

Why choose taco bar hire in West End?

Vegans, vegetarians and gluten-free guests eat from the same table.

A truck or trailer suits almost any gathering. In West End, you could book us for occasions like:

  • Family get-togethers
  • Anniversary parties
  • Working lunches
  • Wedding breakfasts

Parks such as Itchen Valley Country Park usually need the owner’s agreement for catering, even without a truck on the grass, so ask before you plan.

What your quote should include

  • The wet-weather plan
  • Payment terms and deposit
  • Where to see their hygiene rating
  • Whether plates, napkins and cutlery are included

Common questions in West End

Can you serve near the sea around West End?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades usually need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

Which station is closest to West End?

Southampton Airport Parkway station, about 1.8 miles north-west of the centre.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

Are plates and napkins included?

Ask us when you enquire. Tell us what your venue provides, and we will confirm what’s included with your quote.

How long are you on site?

We get there well before service to set up. The length of service is agreed when you book.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect.

What about power on site?

That depends on the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Let us know whether there’s a supply near where we will park.

Can we have a taco bar at our wedding?

It can serve the wedding meal, the evening or both. Timings are agreed with you and your venue, and guests build their own plates.

For planners, venues and organisers

Organising a club, school or community event in West End? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Tell us about the event and we will suggest a menu.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Can I do a taco night myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

How it compares

Compared with a hog roast or carvery, a taco bar caters for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free guests from one table. Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you can choose what you need.

Why us?

  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • Service planned around your numbers
  • Quoted for your event

How we price taco bar hire

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Whether you need disposables
  • What’s on the menu
  • Parking and the route in

Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so share your ideas with us. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

Getting an accurate quote

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Expected numbers
  • The date and rough timings
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both

Planning taco bar hire in West End? Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll come back with ideas and a quote. Just tell us about it on our contact page.

Before you choose a spot

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but a few things matter:

  • A sheltered spot if we’re serving outside
  • A short, clear path for carrying the bar in
  • Space for a line of guests at the bar

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

What we offer

  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Vegan fillings
  • Tortilla chips
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Two to four fillings
