Taco bar hire in Yarmouth: local tips
Yarmouth is about 4 miles south-east of Lymington, in the Isle of Wight. Across the PO41 area, we can bring the truck or trailer to you. We cater in all 125 towns and villages in the Isle of Wight, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. You can also see our page for Southampton, about 15 miles away.
After a christening or wedding at a church such as St. James' Church, a taco bar at a hall or garden nearby lets guests build their own tacos. No room for the truck at home? A hall or club near Yarmouth with parking close by could host the taco bar. Coastal events near Yarmouth, within about 3 miles of the sea, bring wind into the planning. Tell us where the taco bar would go and where we can park to unload.
We cover events in every part of the PO41 postcode area. Your event could be at a home on High Street, Station Road and Alma Place. Is taco bar hire right for your event?
Plated meals depend on a kitchen and a team of waiting staff. A taco bar needs a serving spot, somewhere close to unload and the venue’s agreement, and power and water are confirmed with each booking. Comparing caterers? What affects the price in Yarmouth
Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:
- What the venue already provides
- The menu you choose
- The length of service
- How many guests we are serving
What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so tell us what you have in mind. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Yarmouth questions
Could you serve our guests after a service at St. James' Church?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.
Can the taco bar go in a local hall rather than outside?
We can, as long as the venue agrees. The station needs room for a queue, and we need to park and unload close to the door.
Can you cater in a back garden?
It depends on access. A drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission, if the garden itself is out of reach. Send us a picture and we will talk it through.
Is the food made fresh?
Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.
How many guests can you serve?
Our truck and trailer service normally suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Tell us your numbers.
What areas do you cover?
London and South East England: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
How much space do you need?
Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, plus the venue’s permission. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.
What does a taco bar cost?
We don’t publish set prices, as each booking is different. Share your plans and you’ll get a quote. Our guide to Mexican catering costs may help.
The process
When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. Evenings in Yarmouth stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:10pm. After dusk, lights over the station help guests build their tacos.
- Get in touch with your date and headcount.
- We plan fillings and toppings around your guests’ diets.
- We fix timings with you and the venue.
- The bar opens at the agreed time.
- We clear our station when service ends.
Preparing for the day
- Tell us what power and water the site has
- Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
- Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely

Planning help
Dietary needs and planning tips
Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because options can be kept separate. A few tips:
- Choose at least one vegan filling
- Set out seating near the bar
- Collect dietary needs with your replies
- Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
Once guests have eaten, we clear the table and pack up.
Ask us whether a second station would help with big numbers.
