About our food truck hire in East End

Fillings might include carnitas, al pastor-style pork or chicken tinga, alongside a vegan option such as spiced mushroom. There are options for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free diets. It works well for company away days and client hospitality, with loaded nachos, burrito bowls and fresh salsas and guacamole.

In a small place like East End, a hired food truck might park in a garden, paddock or field. Lanes, gates and long drives are fine if we know about them. Soft ground after rain is worth mentioning too. Guests are served from our truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan the service around your numbers.

What happens on the day

We get there well before you want to serve, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. December events in East End lose the light at about 3:50pm, so ask the venue about outdoor lighting where we will park. In late June, it stays light until about 9:15pm.

  1. Share your plans for the event.
  2. We suggest fillings and dishes for every diet.
  3. Power, water and timings are agreed with you or the venue.
  4. Service runs at the times you choose.
  5. Once service ends, we tidy up and go.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

FAQs for East End

Do you hire out your food truck for parties in places like East End?

Yes, depending on the date. For a private or work event in a village or hamlet, the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Is East End close to London?

It’s about 42 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Are plates and napkins included?

That is confirmed with each quote. Tell us whether your venue has crockery or you’d prefer disposables and we will talk it through.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we will keep their options separate.

Can we hire the truck for our wedding?

A food truck suits a relaxed wedding well, especially in the evening. We agree access and timings with the venue.

What does it cost to hire the truck?

We do not publish set prices, because each hire is different. Send your details and you’ll get a quote. See the Mexican catering cost guide for background.

Do you give allergen information?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, with allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we can’t promise a dish is allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, made with corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can talk through how their food is prepared. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

Diets, allergies and planning

We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Put anyone with a severe allergy in touch with us
  • Send allergy details in writing
  • Ask guests about dietary needs when they reply

We drive in at the agreed time and park in the planned spot. Someone on site to meet us makes it smoother.

Add a build-your-own taco bar beside the truck.

Perfect for your event in East End

The truck becomes the place guests gather, and the hatch draws people over.

Whatever the occasion, the serving truck can be a highlight. We are happy to cater:

  • Private outdoor parties
  • Launch events
  • Weddings
  • Engagement parties

If you’re celebrating after a ceremony at a church like St Margaret's Church, our truck or trailer can be waiting at the reception spot.

  • Space, access, power and water needs
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
  • What happens if it rains

How to compare caterers

What’s on the menu

Burritos

Rice, beans, a filling and salsa wrapped in a big tortilla.

Salsas and guacamole

Guacamole and a choice of salsas, freshly made.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

What affects the price in East End

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Guest numbers

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

Details that help

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Where the event is
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Roughly how many adults and children

Most quotes start with a few simple details: date, location, guest numbers and diets. To send them, send a quick message through our quote form.

For planners, venues and organisers

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so guests are looked after quickly. Let us know how long the break is.
