Taco bar hire in East End, served fresh

Toppings make the bar: lime wedges, coriander, pickled onions, cheese and crema, depending on the menu you choose. On the menu are pickled onions and toppings, warm corn and flour tortillas and guacamole, and it’s a good fit for evening receptions and milestone birthdays.

In a small place like East End, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. We plan the timings around your day, so service starts when you want it.

Where the truck can go in East End

Everything is served from our truck or trailer, so where we park matters. Here’s what we look for:

  • A clear route from the vehicle to the serving spot
  • Shelter from rain and sun for an outdoor bar
  • Room for guests to queue along the table

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before booking.

How it compares

Next to a hog roast or carvery, a taco bar handles vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests without separate plates. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

Why book with us

  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
  • A plan agreed before the day
  • A menu built around your guests
  • A quote that sets out what’s included

Take a look at our prices page or our guide to catering costs.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

How we price taco bar hire

Contact us for a quote, which reflects:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • Parking and the route in
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • How many guests we’re serving

There’s no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Your quote sets it all out.

What to tell us

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:

  • The venue or postcode
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground

We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. To send them, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

What happens on the day

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. Around midsummer it stays light in East End until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is usually served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Send us your date, where the taco bar will go, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve

Common questions in East End

Can the taco bar go in a local hall rather than outside?

Yes, if the venue allows outside caterers. Tell us about the parking, the doors and the space for the station.

How far is East End from London?

It’s about 42 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we cannot promise anything is completely allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Can we have a taco bar at our wedding?

A taco bar works well for a relaxed wedding breakfast. Service is timed around speeches and photos. Read our taco bar guide for ideas.

Do you need power and water?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there is a supply near where we will park.

How do you handle dietary needs at the taco bar?

We plan gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan choices, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests. Every dish has allergen information.

How much space do you need?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, plus the venue’s permission. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

Do you have options for kids?

Of course. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

East End: venues, access and set-up

East End is about 11 miles west of Ashford, in Kent. From the centre of East End to the outskirts, we offer the same service: a truck or trailer at your event, options for every diet and a clear price. We cover all 922 towns and villages in Kent, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. We cater right across the region, from East End to Maidstone (13 miles away).

When the service is at a church such as St Margaret's Church, the taco bar would be set up at the reception venue rather than the church. Venues in and around the High Weald National Landscape, within about 4 miles of East End, sometimes have strict rules about catering and vehicles. Check with yours where a taco bar station and our food truck or trailer could go.

Taco bar hire in TN17 is planned around your venue and access and timings. Streets in the area include Wood Lane, Mockbeggar Lane and Jackson Way, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. If your venue is just outside East End, we also cover Fosten Green (1 mile north), Clapper Hill (1 mile north-east), Parkgate (1 mile east), West Cross (2 miles south) and Strood (2 miles south-east). Further out, we also cater in Maidstone (13 miles north), Ashford (11 miles east), Foley Park (14 miles north), Paddock Wood (12 miles north-west), Tenterden (3 miles east) and Bearsted (13 miles north).

Nearby you will also find Sissinghurst Castle (2.5 miles north-west) and Benenden Hospital (under half a mile south).

Working with your venue

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
