Taco bar hire in Arlington, from our truck or trailer

Our taco bar travels to events across Arlington and the surrounding area: marquees, barns, gardens, halls and workplaces. It works well for leaving and retirement parties and staff parties, serving a build-your-own taco bar, warm corn and flour tortillas and burrito bowls.

Somewhere as small as Arlington, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests, with allergen information for everything we serve.

  • Space for a serving table on level ground

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.

  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Tortilla chips
  • Vegan fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Pickled onions and toppings

Why choose taco bar hire in Arlington?

Guests choose exactly what goes on their plate.

In Arlington and nearby, we can cater all sorts of events. Popular bookings include:

  • Wedding meals
  • Garden parties
  • Engagement parties
  • Evening wedding receptions

Close to Arlington are historic houses such as Michelham Priory (1.5 miles north-east) and Alfriston Clergy House (3.1 miles south-west). Historic venues often limit where vehicles can go, so ask whether a taco bar station could be set up inside while our truck or trailer parks further off.

What to look for in a quote

  • How late numbers can change
  • The caterer’s food hygiene rating
  • Travel and parking costs
  • If the price includes VAT

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Prices and what affects them

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Travel, parking and access
  • The number of people
  • What the venue already provides
  • How long we are needed on site

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What we need to know

You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • The date and rough timings
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • How we drive in and where we can park

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. When you are ready, use our quote form.

Taco bars for events around Arlington

Arlington is about 3 miles south-west of Hailsham, in East Sussex. Events in Arlington are planned around your venue and timings: a clear quote, agreed timings and fresh service on the day. We cater in 289 places across East Sussex. Our nearest city page is Brighton, about 14 miles away.

For guests coming by train, Berwick (Sussex) station is about 1.2 miles away. If you’re celebrating after a service at a church like The Parish Church of St Pancras, a hall close by could host a staffed taco bar, with the venue’s permission. The South Downs National Park is within about 4 miles of Arlington, with barns and country venues that could host a taco bar. Where vehicles cannot reach the room, the station can be set up there with the venue’s agreement, but we still need to unload close by.

Anywhere in BN26, we can bring the truck or trailer to your guests, from busy streets to quiet lanes. Planners, venues and businesses

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can check the date.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Arlington: your questions answered

We are having a ceremony at The Parish Church of St Pancras: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

What’s the nearest station to Arlington for guests?

Berwick (Sussex) station, about 1.2 miles west of the centre.

Who looks after the taco bar?

We run the station ourselves, so you do not need helpers. We pack it away afterwards.

What if a vehicle can’t reach the serving spot?

The taco bar can sit next to the truck or trailer, or in a spot of its own. We need a nearby place to unload, plus the venue’s agreement.

What do you need at the venue?

Send us details of the venue and where you’d like the bar, and we’ll check it works. We also need the venue’s permission.

What does taco bar hire cost?

It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the length of service and the location. Send us the details for a quote.

How long are you on site?

We get there well before service to set up. The length of service is agreed when you book, along with pack-down.

Is a taco bar right for a wedding?

It can serve the wedding meal, the evening or both. We agree the timings with your venue, and guests build their own plates.

The process

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. A December taco bar in Arlington will be in the dark from about 3:55pm, so set the station up where the lighting is good. In late June, the light holds until around 9:15pm.

  1. Share a few details about the event.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar menu and a quote.
  3. Access, power and water are agreed beforehand.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. Afterwards, we pack down and leave the area tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Plan the taco bar around speeches and timings
  • Ensure one filling is vegan
  • Ask the venue where we can park to unload
  • Agree the serving spot with your venue early

After the last plate, we take the bar down, then load our vehicle.

Book the truck or trailer for evening food after a daytime taco bar.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
