Taco bar hire in Hulverstone

Common questions in Hulverstone

Could you come to a seaside event near Hulverstone?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades generally need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

Do you set up taco bars indoors in places like Hulverstone?

We can, as long as the venue agrees. The station needs room for a queue, and we need to park and unload close to the door.

What does taco bar hire cost?

We quote for each event, based on what you actually need. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas and we will reply with a quote.

Does the taco bar need the truck on site?

The taco bar can sit next to the truck or trailer, or in a spot of its own. Either way, we need to unload nearby and have the venue’s permission.

Do you need electricity?

That depends on the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Let us know whether there is a supply near where we will park.

What do you need at the venue?

A level spot for the serving table, room to queue and somewhere close to unload our vehicle. We confirm power and water when you book.

How far ahead should we book?

The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so it pays to ask early.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

We confirm that with your quote. Tell us whether your venue has crockery or you’d prefer disposables.

Taco bar hire for your event in Hulverstone

The bar can stand beside our truck or trailer, or on its own. Where a vehicle can’t reach the serving spot, we unload nearby and set the table up there, with the venue’s agreement. Popular choices include fresh salsas, pickled onions and toppings and warm corn and flour tortillas, which works well for summer garden parties and christenings and family parties.

In a small place like Hulverstone, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If the truck cannot get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. We will check the space, access and power with you before the day, so set-up goes smoothly.

For event organisers in Hulverstone

Throwing a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we will let you know if it is a good fit.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

The menu, item by item

Toppings

Pickled onions, coriander, lime, lettuce and cheese, agreed with you.

Salsas

Fresh salsas, from a mild tomato salsa to something hotter.

Planning for every diet

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Set out seating near the bar
  • Have anyone with a severe allergy speak to us first
  • Check where our vehicle can unload
  • Tell us about coeliac guests specifically

We get there early enough to unload, lay out the table and heat everything through.

Add burrito bowls for guests who’d rather skip tortillas.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Choosing a Mexican caterer

What taco bar hire costs

We will give you a clear quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • Distance and access to the venue
  • How long we are needed on site
  • How many guests we are serving
  • Your choice of food and drinks

Pricing depends on the event. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

Details that help

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Expected numbers
  • The date and rough timings
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. To send your details, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

How the day works

On the day, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we have agreed, so everything runs to your schedule. Around midsummer it stays light in Hulverstone until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is usually served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 4:05pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Start with the essentials: the date, venue, headcount and diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. After the last tacos, we clear the station away.

Before we arrive

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Share the running order, including any speeches

Space, access and the venue

Every venue is different, so we’ll ask about yours before we confirm. In general, we need:

  • A clear route from the vehicle to the serving spot
  • Shelter from rain and sun for an outdoor bar
  • The venue’s or landowner’s agreement

Hulverstone is a more remote spot, so tell us early and we’ll plan the journey and access for the truck or trailer.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.
