How our taco bar hire works in Slaugham
For a bigger spread, burrito bowls, nachos or quesadillas can sit alongside the tacos. Margaritas and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can be added. For retirement parties and engagement parties, we can serve warm corn and flour tortillas, burrito bowls and a build-your-own taco bar and more.
In a small place like Slaugham, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If the truck can’t get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Space, access and the venue
The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

Slaugham: your questions answered
We are having a ceremony at St Mary's Church: can you cater afterwards?
Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.
Can the taco bar go in a local hall rather than outside?
Yes, if the venue allows outside caterers. Tell us about the parking, the doors and the space for the station.
Can you cater for children?
Of course. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.
What access do you need?
A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s agreement. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.
What happens if it rains?
The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.
Where do you cater?
We cover London and the South East, West Sussex included. See all areas.
Do you do a taco bar?
Yes, a taco bar is one of our options. Let us know your numbers and space and we will recommend how to serve.
Do you have vegan options?
Yes. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms, served alongside the meat options.
What happens on the day
Guests tend to gather around the truck, so we’ll help you choose a spot with room for a queue. Rain doesn’t generally stop us serving, but guests will need somewhere covered. In Slaugham, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is usually served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.

By rail: the nearest station is Balcombe station, about 3.3 miles east. Close to Slaugham are historic houses such as Tyes Place (1.8 miles east) and Ockenden Manor (3.6 miles south-east). Historic venues often limit where vehicles can go, so ask whether a taco bar station could be set up inside while our truck or trailer parks further off.
We cover events in every part of the RH17 postcode area and the streets around it. Dietary needs and planning tips
With a little notice, most diets are easy. We suggest:
- Fit the bar into your running order
- Put allergies in writing for us
- Include a vegan filling on the bar
- Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
A covered spot keeps the bar and guests dry if it rains.
Our food truck or trailer can serve later in the day, after the taco bar.

Vegan fillings
A vegan filling sits on the bar with the rest.

Can I do a taco night myself?
For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.
You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.
How we price taco bar hire
The price comes down to a few factors:
- Serving staff
- Travel, parking and access
- Plates, napkins and cutlery
- Timings and hours
Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Your quote confirms the full price.
What to tell us
The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Try to include:
- How we drive in and where we can park
- The address or venue name
- Diets and allergies you know about
- A photo of the space, if it is a garden or field
Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We will send you a clear quote and a suggested menu.
How it compares
Pizza is the usual crowd-pleaser, but a taco bar lets every guest design their own plate. Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you choose what goes in.

Planners, venues and businesses
Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.
If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.
