Taco bar hire in Small Dole, from our truck or trailer
A taco bar puts the whole spread on one table: warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings. Guests pick up a plate and build their own. Popular choices include a build-your-own taco bar, guacamole and burrito bowls, and it suits family get-togethers and staff parties.
Somewhere as small as Small Dole, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. Your quote sets out what’s included: menu, timings and any add-ons.

Can I do a taco night myself?
You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.
Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.
Small Dole: venues, access and set-up
Small Dole is about 5 miles north of Shoreham-by-Sea, in West Sussex. From the centre of Small Dole to the outskirts, taco bar hire works the same way: a truck or trailer at your event, options for every diet and a clear price. We cater in all 371 towns and villages in West Sussex, from the larger towns to small villages. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Small Dole to Brighton (8 miles away).
Before you plan a taco bar in Tottington Wood, find out who manages it, as catering and unloading there both need their agreement. Close to Small Dole are historic houses such as Portslade Manor (4.8 miles south-east). Estates and listed houses set their own rules for caterers, so check where a taco bar station and our vehicle would be permitted before you book. Venues in and around the South Downs National Park, within about 7 miles of Small Dole, sometimes have strict rules about catering and vehicles. Check with yours where a taco bar station and our food truck or trailer could go. Small Dole is within about 6 miles of the sea, so for a seaside taco bar we plan around the wind. A sheltered spot for the station helps, and seafront sites normally need permission.
This part of West Sussex takes in BN5. Local streets include Downsview, Tottington Drive and Orchard Close; for an event at home on any of them, tell us where the truck or trailer can park. - A flat spot for the taco-bar station
If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before booking.

Is taco bar hire right for your event?
Pizza is the usual crowd-pleaser, but a taco bar gives guests more say over what they eat. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Planners, venues and businesses
Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.
Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.
The process
Service is quick and friendly: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. When service ends, we pack down. Around midsummer it stays light in Small Dole until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.
- Start with your date, venue and guest numbers.
- Together we choose what goes on the bar.
- We confirm the table spot and where we will unload.
- Our staff set out the bar and guests build their own tacos.
- We clear the bar away after service.
Getting ready for the day
- Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
- Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
- Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

Common questions in Small Dole
How far is Small Dole from central London?
About 42 miles from central London, and well within our area.
Could you come to a seaside event near Small Dole?
We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades generally need the council’s agreement, so check that first.
What’s on the menu?
Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings might include chicken tinga, pork carnitas, al pastor-style pork and vegan options like black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.
Do you do margaritas?
Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we will talk licensing through with you.
Can you set up where a truck cannot get in?
The bar can stand on its own, away from the truck or trailer. We still need to park our vehicle nearby to unload, and the venue’s agreement.
Can you serve in the rain?
We can serve from the hatch in the rain. It’s worth planning a covered area for guests, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.
Is a taco bar good for vegans and gluten-free guests?
Keeping each dish separate makes mixed diets easier, but we can’t promise an allergen-free kitchen. Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.
Do you provide plates and napkins?
Please ask us. Let us know what you already have, and we’ll confirm what’s included with your quote.
