Taco bar hire in South Nutfield

Taco bar hire in South Nutfield, served fresh

A taco bar suits mixed diets well, because every filling and topping sits in its own dish. There are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan choices, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests. It works well for evening receptions and family celebrations, with pickled onions and toppings, guacamole and fresh salsas.

Somewhere as small as South Nutfield, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

What taco bar hire costs

Your quote will be clear. What affects it most:

  • Travel, parking and access
  • Timings and hours
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • What’s on the menu

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • A photo of the space, if it’s a garden or field
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground

Questions from South Nutfield

Could you serve our guests after a service at Christ Church?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Can you bring a truck or trailer to venues in the Surrey Hills National Landscape?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and catering, so check with yours. We’ll follow the site rules.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, like a marquee or gazebo.

How much does taco bar hire cost?

Every taco bar is quoted for individually, depending on guests, menu, venue and timings. For a price, use our quote form.

Do you need power and water?

Let us know what’s available on site, for example a supply from the venue, and we will confirm the arrangements with your quote.

What’s on the menu?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings might include chicken tinga, pork carnitas, al pastor-style pork and vegan options like black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.

How does taco bar hire work?

We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings on a serving table, and each guest builds their own. We stay to keep everything hot and stocked.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Of course. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

Dietary needs and planning tips

We cater for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests. To make it work smoothly:

  • Let us know about anyone who is coeliac
  • Put guests with serious allergies in touch with us early
  • Ask the venue where we can park to unload
  • Include a vegan filling on the bar

A covered spot keeps the bar and guests dry if it rains, so plan somewhere sheltered if you can.

Our food truck or trailer can serve later in the day, after the taco bar.

Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

Step by step

We get there well before you want to serve, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. Evenings in South Nutfield stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm. After dusk, lights over the station help guests build their tacos.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We suggest fillings, salsas and toppings for the bar and send a quote.
  3. Before the day, we confirm the serving spot, unloading, power and water with the venue.
  4. We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and guests help themselves.
  5. After the last tacos, we clear the station away.

Preparing for the day

  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Find out what power and water are available
  • Share the running order, including any speeches

How to compare caterers

How it compares

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen, waiting staff and fixed courses. A taco bar needs a serving spot, somewhere close to unload and the venue’s agreement, with power and water confirmed when you book. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.
