Can I do a taco night myself?

You choose the fillings with us, perhaps carnitas, chicken tinga or birria, with a vegan filling like black bean and sweet potato or spiced mushroom. At barn parties and birthday parties, we can serve burrito bowls, guacamole and slow-cooked fillings kept hot.

A place like Winnall may have a hall or a club nearby if your garden is small; the station needs a level surface, the venue’s permission and somewhere to unload. You will know what’s included before you book: menu, timings and any add-ons.

Questions from Winnall

Is it possible to have you in St. Cross Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

How far is Winnall from London?

It’s about 60 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

How does a taco bar work?

We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings on a serving table, and each guest builds their own. We stay to keep everything hot and stocked.

Is the food suitable for children?

Of course. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.

Can you cater in a back garden?

It depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Tell us about the space and we will advise.

How is the food prepared?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Can you run a bar?

Yes. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. We will check the licensing for alcohol with you.

How much is a taco bar?

Every taco bar is quoted for individually, based on numbers, fillings, the venue and timings. For a price, fill in our quote form.

How the day works

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can enjoy your event. Around midsummer it stays light in Winnall until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 4:00pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Share a few details about the event.
  2. We send a sample spread and a quote.
  3. Access, power and water are agreed beforehand.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

How to prepare

  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Give us your final numbers and diets
