Questions from Great Hollands

How far is Great Hollands from central London?

It’s about 30 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Which station should guests use for Great Hollands?

The closest is Bracknell station, roughly 1.3 miles away.

Do you check ages at the bar?

Yes. No alcohol is served to under-18s, and we may refuse service to anyone who has had too much.

Do you take everything away?

We clear our own area when service is finished. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

Do we need a licence for the bar?

That depends on your venue. Some venues have a premises licence; others need a Temporary Event Notice. We’ll talk licensing through with you.

What if the weather’s bad?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. It’s worth planning a covered area for guests, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

What about power on site?

Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we’ll park, and we’ll confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus.

What affects the price in Great Hollands

Your quote will be clear. What affects it most:

  • The number of people
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • The length of service
  • Staff for serving and the bar

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

Details that help

To speed things up, tell us:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • A photo of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • The date and rough timings

Send us the date, your venue or RG12 postcode and guest numbers, plus any dietary needs, and you will get menu ideas and a price. To get started, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Before you choose a spot

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We need:

  • Space for guests to queue at the bar
  • Licensing checked with you before the day
  • A bar spot away from homes

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

Comparing your options

DIY drinks tables are easy but need constant topping up. Bar staff keep drinks flowing and cold. What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so tell us what you have in mind. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

The process

When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. At midsummer, it is light in Great Hollands until about 9:25pm, so evening drinks can be served in daylight. By late September, sunset is about 7:05pm, and in December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so plan lighting around the bar.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. We talk through licensing with you.
  3. We agree a drinks menu.
  4. Our bar staff serve your guests at the agreed times.
  5. We pack down when the bar closes.

How to prepare

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day

How to get a price
