Mexican bar hire in Southend

Mexican bar hire in Southend, from our food truck or trailer

Aguas frescas are Mexico’s fresh fruit and flower drinks: agua de jamaica made with hibiscus, horchata, tamarind and fruit waters. They’re a good alcohol-free choice for everyone. For mexican-themed parties and end-of-year and Christmas parties, we can serve alcohol-free drinks, aguas frescas and soft drinks for your guests.

In a rural spot like Southend, drinks can be served from our truck or trailer in a garden, field or by a marquee, as long as we can get in. We’ll go through the licensing with you. You can book food, drinks or both, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

How the day works

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can spend time with your guests. Evening drinks in Southend stay light until about 8:55pm in late May and 9:20pm in late June, which suits an outdoor bar. For a bar running past dusk, ask the venue about outdoor lighting.

  1. Send us your date, venue, numbers and drinks ideas.
  2. Together we check how alcohol will be licensed at your event.
  3. You get a suggested drinks menu and a quote.
  4. On the day we set up the bar and our bar staff serve your guests.
  5. When the bar closes, we pack down and clear our area.

FAQs for Southend

How far is Southend from London?

About 60 miles from central London, and we cover it.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of the Holy Trinity?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Tell us where the reception will be.

Can you cater in a back garden?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.

When should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it is soon.

What food and drinks do you offer?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings might include chicken tinga, pork carnitas, al pastor-style pork and vegan options like black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu, served alongside the meat options.

How much does the drinks bar cost?

We do not publish set prices, because every event is different. Tell us your plans for a quote.

How long are you on site?

It depends on your event. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you to suit your day.

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Tips for a smooth bar

A few tips to help the bar run smoothly:

  • Ensure drivers have good choices
  • Check allergies with guests, including for drinks
  • Allow time for a Temporary Event Notice if one is needed
  • Have plenty of water available

If timings change, tell us and we’ll adjust.

Alcohol-free aguas frescas for all ages.

How we price Mexican bar hire

Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:

  • Parking and the route in
  • What’s on the menu
  • The number of people
  • How many staff you need

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Your quote confirms the full price.

What to tell us

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Expected numbers
  • Your date and when you want service to start

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, tell us about it on our contact page.

Planners, venues and businesses

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Hosting a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about access, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

Can I do a taco night myself?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

What we need at the venue

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but there are a few things to check:

  • A spot away from neighbours’ windows if the bar runs late
  • A premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice in place
  • Agreement from the venue for our bar

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.
