About our taco bar hire in Adgestone

Our staff set up the taco bar and look after it through service: warming tortillas, keeping fillings hot and refilling the salsas as they go. Nobody from your side needs to lift a spoon. It works well for working lunches and wedding evening food, with guacamole, burrito bowls and slow-cooked fillings kept hot.

Somewhere as small as Adgestone, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If the truck cannot get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

Taco bars for events around Adgestone

Adgestone is about 4 miles south of Ryde, in the Isle of Wight. We serve at events in homes, gardens and venues in Adgestone. Adgestone is one of 125 places in the Isle of Wight we cover. We cater right across the region, from Adgestone to Portsmouth (about 10 miles away).

Guests leaving a church like Church of St. John the Evangelist could head to a nearby hall or garden where the taco bar is ready. By rail: the nearest station is Sandown station, about 1.1 miles south. Adgestone is within about 2 miles of the sea, so for a seaside taco bar we plan around the wind. A sheltered spot for the station helps, and seafront sites usually need permission.

This part of the Isle of Wight takes in PO36, so your event can be anywhere in it. From Upper Road, Lower Road and Lower Adgestone Road or anywhere nearby, we can bring taco bar hire there, given access. If your venue is just outside Adgestone, we also cover Morton (1 mile east), Yarbridge (1 mile east), Brading (1 mile north-east), Alverstone (1 mile south-west) and Sandown (1 mile south). Further out, we also cater in Newport (6 miles west), Ryde (4 miles north), Cowes (9 miles north-west), Shanklin (3 miles south), Ventnor (6 miles south) and East Cowes (8 miles north-west). If your event is somewhere remote, tell us early so we can plan the journey, access and power.

  • Local schools include Sandown Bay Academy (1 mile south) and The Bay Church of England School (1.1 miles south)

Catering for every guest

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because options can be kept separate. A few tips:

  • Collect dietary needs with your replies
  • Decide where the table goes before the day
  • Make sure guests have somewhere to sit
  • Check where our vehicle can unload

If the schedule slips, tell us and we’ll hold everything hot until you are ready.

Extra salsas, from mild to hot, let guests choose their own heat.

Working with your venue

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so everyone is served promptly. Let us know how long the break is.

Prices and what affects them

Your quote will be clear. The main things that affect it are:

  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • The length of service
  • How many staff you need
  • Distance and access to the venue

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we will set out what’s included.

What we need to know

To speed things up, tell us:

  • The venue or postcode
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • A picture of the space, if it is a garden or field

Still deciding on the menu? No problem: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we’ll make suggestions. To start, fill in our quote form.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

What we need at the venue

We will be honest if a space will not work, and help find another spot. What matters most:

  • Room nearby to park and unload our vehicle
  • Space for a line of guests at the bar
  • The venue’s agreement for the taco bar and our vehicle

Adgestone is a more remote spot, so tell us early and we’ll plan the journey and access for the truck or trailer.

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

Is taco bar hire right for your event?

A sandwich platter is easy to order but rarely remembered. Warm tortillas and hot fillings give a lunch more to talk about. Pricing depends on the event. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Your quote sets it all out.
