Taco bar hire in Alverstone, from our food truck or trailer

For a bigger spread, burrito bowls, nachos or quesadillas can sit alongside the tacos. Margaritas and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can be added. We serve a build-your-own taco bar, pickled onions and toppings and slow-cooked fillings kept hot, and it is a good fit for garden parties and retirement parties.

In a small place like Alverstone, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

Pickled onions, coriander, lime, lettuce and cheese.

Warm tortillas

Tortillas are the base of the bar. We keep a steady supply going.

Step by step

When we arrive, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. We are ready to serve at the agreed time, so everything runs to your schedule. Winter evenings in Alverstone close in by about 4:00pm, so an indoor spot or a well-lit station works best. At midsummer, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

  1. Send us your date, where the taco bar will go, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. We suggest fillings, salsas and toppings for the bar and send a quote.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Alverstone: your questions answered

Will you travel to a small place like Alverstone?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Could you serve our guests after a service at All Saints' Church?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you stay to run the taco bar?

The taco bar is served from a table or station by our staff, so you don’t need helpers. We pack it away afterwards.

Can you cater for guests who avoid dairy?

Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus.

Do you take everything away?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Tell us the venue’s rules on waste and clearing up and we’ll confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Ask us when you enquire. Let us know what you already have, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

How big an event can you cater?

Truck and trailer service typically suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Planning the serving area

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space when you contact us. Generally, we look for:

  • A clear area in front of the station
  • A level area for the taco-bar table
  • Permission from the venue for us to set up

Alverstone is a more remote spot, so tell us early and we will plan the journey and access for the truck or trailer.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.

Choosing a Mexican caterer

For event organisers in Alverstone

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We’ll provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we will keep everyone informed on the day.

Comparing your options

Compared with a hog roast or carvery, a taco bar handles vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests without separate plates. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

Why us?

  • Service planned around your numbers
  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
  • Served fresh from our food truck or trailer
  • Menus chosen with you

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.
