Taco bar hire in Botolphs

Taco bar hire for your event in Botolphs

A taco bar suits mixed diets well, because every filling and topping sits in its own dish. There are vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free choices, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish. Popular choices include burrito bowls, a build-your-own taco bar and slow-cooked fillings kept hot, which works well for leaving dos and birthday celebrations.

Somewhere as small as Botolphs, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

What taco bar hire costs

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Food, drinks or both
  • How many staff you need
  • The number of people
  • What the venue already provides

Details that help

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Where the event is
  • Expected numbers
  • Diets and allergies you know about

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

Botolphs questions

We are having a ceremony at St Botolph's Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Is Botolphs close to London?

It’s about 44 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes, children are welcome. Let us know numbers and ages, and we’ll plan the menu with them in mind.

Does the taco bar need the truck on site?

The bar can stand on its own, away from the truck or trailer. We still need somewhere close to unload our vehicle, and the venue has to agree.

What about power on site?

Tell us what the site has, for example a supply from the venue, and we will confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Is a taco bar right for a wedding?

The taco bar can be the wedding breakfast, the evening food or both. We agree the timings with your venue, and guests build their own plates.

How does a taco bar work?

We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings on a serving table, and guests build their own tacos. We stay to keep everything hot and stocked.

Do you do parties at home?

It depends on access. A drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission, if the garden itself is out of reach. Send us a photo and we will talk it through.

How it works

We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. In Botolphs, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Share a few details about the event.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar menu and a quote.
  3. We check power, water and access with your venue.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

Preparing for the day

  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. To send them, tell us about it on our contact page.

Events we cater in Botolphs

The bar can go where a vehicle can’t, like a barn, courtyard or hall, if the venue agrees.

  • Office lunches
  • Garden parties
  • Barn parties
  • Family celebrations

Close to Botolphs are historic houses such as Portslade Manor (4.6 miles south-east). Estates and listed houses set their own rules for caterers, so check where a taco bar station and our vehicle would be permitted before you book.

  • The venue requirements

Questions to ask before you book

Why choose taco bar hire in Botolphs?

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen, waiting staff and fixed courses. A taco bar needs a serving spot, somewhere close to unload and the venue’s agreement, with power and water confirmed when you book. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Why book with us

  • A clear quote
  • Allergen information for every dish
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • We cover Botolphs and the whole of West Sussex

Dietary needs and planning tips

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Tell us about coeliac guests specifically
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to contact us before the day
  • Decide where the table goes before the day
  • Plan the taco bar around speeches and timings

Fillings are kept hot and tortillas warmed in batches, so the bar stays fresh from the first plate to the last.

A wider range of salsas suits guests who like it mild and those who like it hot.

Planning a taco bar in Botolphs

Botolphs is about 3 miles north-west of Shoreham-by-Sea, in West Sussex. Events in Botolphs are planned around your venue and timings: a clear quote, agreed timings and fresh service on the day. We cater in all 371 towns and villages across West Sussex, from the larger towns to small villages. We cater right across the region, from Botolphs to Brighton (about 8 miles away).

After a christening or wedding at a church such as St Botolph's Church, a taco bar at a hall or garden nearby lets guests build their own tacos. Guests arriving without a car will want to know that Shoreham-By-Sea station is about 3.2 miles away. The coast is within about 4 miles of Botolphs, so for a seaside taco bar we plan around the wind. A sheltered spot for the station helps, and seafront sites generally need permission.
