DIY taco night or a caterer?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Taco bar hire in Ifield, from our truck or trailer

We can serve the taco bar next to the truck or trailer, or as a separate station. Where a vehicle cannot reach the serving spot, we unload nearby and set the table up there, as long as the venue agrees. Popular choices include guacamole, fresh salsas and burrito bowls, and it is a good fit for company parties and birthday parties.

A place like Ifield may have a hall or a club nearby if your garden is small; the station needs a level surface, the venue’s permission and somewhere to unload. We cater for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests, and we give allergen information for every dish.

How it works

When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. Around midsummer it stays light in Ifield until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is generally served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. We send a sample spread and a quote.
  3. Access, power and water are agreed beforehand.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. Afterwards, we pack down and leave the area tidy.

Planning help

What taco bar hire costs

We will give you a clear quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Food, drinks or both
  • Timings and hours

Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so share your ideas with us. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest a menu.

Getting an accurate quote

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Roughly how many adults and children

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. To send your details, send a quick message through our quote form.

Planning a taco bar in Ifield

Ifield is about 1 mile north-west of Crawley, in West Sussex. Whether your event is in the middle of Ifield or on the outskirts, we offer the same service: a truck or trailer at your event, options for every diet and a clear price. We cater in all 371 towns and villages in West Sussex, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in.

If you are celebrating after a service at a church like St Margaret's Church, a hall close by could host a staffed taco bar, with the venue’s permission. Before you plan a taco bar in Target Hill Park, find out who manages it, as catering and unloading there both need their agreement. With the Surrey Hills National Landscape about 8 miles away at most, a countryside taco bar is an option from Ifield. Rural venues may limit vehicles, so ask where we can park and unload.

Wherever your event is in RH11 and RH10, we can bring the truck or trailer to your guests. Streets in the area include Mill Lane, Hare Lane and Brock Road, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. For events just outside Ifield, we cover Gossops Green (1 mile south), Ifieldwood (1 mile west), Bewbush (1 mile south-west), Russ Hill (2 miles north-west) and Charlwood (2 miles north). Who looks after the taco bar?

The taco bar is served from a table or station by our staff, so your hosts don’t need to. We pack it away afterwards.

  • A flat spot for the taco-bar station
  • The venue’s agreement for the taco bar and our vehicle
  • Cover overhead if the bar is outdoors

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think before booking.

Popular choices

  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Two to four fillings
  • Tortilla chips
