Taco bar hire for Winnersh events

Planners, venues and businesses

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so everyone is served promptly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep you updated on timings and set-up.

How our taco bar hire works in Winnersh

A taco bar puts the whole spread on one table: warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings. Each guest takes a plate and fills it their way. On the menu are pickled onions and toppings, warm corn and flour tortillas and burrito bowls, and it’s a good fit for retirement parties and anniversary parties.

For a place the size of Winnersh, a garden or a hall nearby can suit a taco bar. We set up and run the station, and guests choose their own fillings and toppings. Tell us where we can park and unload. Guests are served from our food truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Winnersh questions

Could you serve in Maiden Erlegh Local Nature Reserve?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Check with them, and we will provide what they ask for from us.

Can you cater a reception after a service at St Mary the Virgin?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we’ll talk licensing through with you.

Which areas do you serve?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire.

Can the taco bar cater for special diets?

Keeping each dish separate makes mixed diets easier, though we cannot guarantee there are no traces of any allergen. Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Can you set up where a truck can’t get in?

It can go beside the truck or trailer, or somewhere a vehicle can’t reach. We need a nearby place to unload, plus the venue’s agreement.

How many guests can you serve?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Please ask us. Tell us what your venue provides, and we’ll confirm what’s included with your quote.

Step by step

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. A picture of the space helps. Planning an evening taco bar in Winnersh? Sunset is around 8:55pm in late May, 9:25pm at midsummer and 7:05pm in late September. After dusk, lights over the station help guests build their tacos.

  1. Start with your date, venue and guest numbers.
  2. We plan the fillings, salsas and toppings with you.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we will unload.
  4. Our staff set out the bar and guests build their own tacos.
  5. When everyone has eaten, we pack up.

  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Timings and hours

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • The venue or postcode
  • What you’d like on the menu

Diets, allergies and planning

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies on the RSVP
  • Ask the venue where we can park to unload
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to contact us before the day
  • Fit the bar into your running order

Fillings are kept hot and tortillas warmed in batches, so the bar stays fresh from the first plate to the last.

Nachos to share can keep guests going before the bar opens.

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.
