About our taco bar hire in Iping

You choose the fillings with us, perhaps carnitas, chicken tinga or birria, plus a vegan choice such as spiced mushroom or black bean and sweet potato. Popular choices include pickled onions and toppings, a build-your-own taco bar and fresh salsas, which works well for engagement and anniversary parties and barn parties.

Somewhere as small as Iping, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

Questions to ask before booking

For event organisers in Iping

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

What we need at the venue

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space when you get in touch. In general, we need:

  • A sheltered spot if we are serving outside
  • A short, clear path for carrying the bar in
  • Room nearby to park and unload our vehicle

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.

How we price taco bar hire

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • How many guests we are serving
  • Serving staff
  • Parking and the route in

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

What we need to know

To check availability and price, we need:

  • The date and time of the event
  • Your menu ideas
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Any dietary needs and allergies

How the day works

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your event. Winter evenings in Iping close in by about 4:00pm, so set the station up where the lighting is good. At midsummer, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we choose what goes on the bar.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we will unload.
  4. On the day, guests help themselves while we keep the bar stocked.
  5. When everyone has eaten, we pack up.

Before we arrive

  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Iping questions

Which station is closest to Iping?

Guests can use Liphook station, about 5 miles north of Iping.

Can you bring a truck or trailer to venues in the South Downs National Park?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and catering, so check with yours. Tell us about narrow lanes and soft ground.

What happens if it rains?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will suggest mild options.

Can you set up where a truck cannot get in?

The bar can stand on its own, away from the truck or trailer. We still need to park our vehicle nearby to unload, and the venue’s agreement.

Is the taco bar staffed?

Our staff set up the bar, keep the fillings hot and top up the dishes.

When should we book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Even if it is short notice, it’s worth asking.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Please ask us. Tell us what your venue provides, and we will confirm what’s included with your quote.
