Taco bar hire in Ratton Village

How our taco bar hire works in Ratton Village

We can serve the taco bar next to the truck or trailer, or as a separate station. Where a vehicle can’t reach the serving spot, we unload nearby and set the table up there, as long as the venue agrees. Popular choices include fresh salsas, pickled onions and toppings and slow-cooked fillings kept hot, and it is a good fit for summer garden parties and leaving dos.

In a smaller place like Ratton Village, a taco bar in your garden or a local hall keeps things simple. We set up and run the station, and guests choose their own fillings and toppings. Let us know about the drive and parking. We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests, and we give allergen information for every dish.

Comparing your options

A taco bar and a truck serve the same food in different ways. From the truck, we put each order together; at the bar, guests build their own. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Why us?

  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • A plan agreed before the day
  • Service planned around your numbers
  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer

Can I do a taco night myself?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

How it works

Your timings come first. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, tell us and we will adjust the start of service where we can. Evenings in Ratton Village stay light until about 9:15pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:00pm. Once it gets dark, guests need to see what they’re adding to their tacos.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We suggest fillings, salsas and toppings for the bar and send a quote.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

What taco bar hire costs

We’ll give you a clear quote. What affects it most:

  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • How many guests we are serving

What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so tell us what you have in mind. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

Details that help

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:

  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Where the event is

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. To send your details, tell us about it on our contact page.

For event organisers in Ratton Village

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep you updated on timings and set-up.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Catering for every guest

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. A few tips:

  • Fit the bar into your running order
  • Ask the venue where we can park to unload
  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Flag any guest with coeliac disease

A covered spot keeps the bar and guests dry if it rains, so plan somewhere sheltered if you can.

Add burrito bowls for guests who’d rather skip tortillas.

Planning the serving area

We’ll be honest if a space will not work, and help find another spot. What matters most:

  • A clear route from the vehicle to the serving spot
  • Somewhere close by for our vehicle to park and unload
  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.
