About our taco bar hire in Langley Common

The bar can stand beside our truck or trailer, or on its own. Where a vehicle can’t reach the serving spot, we unload nearby and set the table up there, with the venue’s agreement. At christenings and family parties and working lunches, we’ll put together a menu of a build-your-own taco bar, warm corn and flour tortillas and slow-cooked fillings kept hot for your guests.

In a small place like Langley Common, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If the truck can’t get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. We will check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Our caterer checklist

Taco bar hire or something else?

Plated meals depend on a kitchen and a team of waiting staff. For a taco bar, we need a serving spot, a nearby place to unload and the venue’s permission, and power and water are confirmed with each booking. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Why us?

Organising for someone else?

If you are booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

Langley Common: your questions answered

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Shepperlands Farm Nature Reserve?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we will help with the information they need from us.

Is Langley Common close to London?

About 35 miles from central London, and well within our area.

Can you run a bar?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we’ll check the licensing with you.

Is the food made fresh?

We cook to order in our truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

Where do you cater?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, including Langley Common.

How does a taco bar work?

Guests take a plate and fill their tortillas from the dishes on the bar. We run the bar from set-up to pack-down.

How much is a food truck for an event?

The price depends on numbers, menu, service time and where your event is. Contact us for a quote.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

Our truck and trailer service normally suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Prices and what affects them

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, depending on:

  • The length of service
  • The number of people
  • What’s on the menu
  • Whether you need disposables

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. We quote for each event individually.

What we need to know

To check availability and price, we need:

  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • A picture of where we’d park

We quote for each event separately, based on what you need. For a quote, send a quick message through our quote form.

What happens on the day

When we arrive, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. We’re ready to serve at the agreed time, planned around your event. Winter evenings in Langley Common close in by about 3:55pm, so an indoor spot or a well-lit station works best. At midsummer, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:25pm.

  1. Send us your date, where the taco bar will go, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. Before the day, we confirm the serving spot, unloading, power and water with the venue.
  4. Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Planning for every diet

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Try these:

  • Make sure guests have somewhere to sit
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Plan the taco bar around speeches and timings
  • Ensure one filling is vegan

We warm tortillas in batches and keep the fillings hot, so the bar stays fresh from the first plate to the last.

Our drinks bar can sit alongside the taco bar with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
